DIdnt see that coming. Looks like he will be able to buy a house and not have to move at the end of the year. Nets now with a chance to really sell themselves to Melo for almost a whole season.

Well the Nets won't be the Nets much longer, most likely.
Carmelo has already said (through other people) that he will only sign an extension with NYK. That puts the Nets out.
Though, there are some murmurs that he would think about a deal to Orlando.

Melo is from Brooklyn, his only issue with the Nets is that he would have to play in Newark for a little while. Don't be surprised if this goes down if the Nets can convince Melo to be patient during the transition to Brooklyn.
