If hes not hurt then there is absolutely no reason for him not to get in.

Good. Unless there was some injury we didn't know about (which there wasn't, we would have heard about it) then he absolutely should have played.

It's sad that Z is likely on the trading block too--unfortunately for him he's going to get tossed around this year. I feel bad for him, no matter who you're a fan of you have to love Z. Any organization would love to have a player like him and I hate to see him get dicked around. But it's a business. If he gets traded this season and the Cavs go on to win a title, Z more than deserves a ring. Would he get one?

I have a feeling LeBron would do something classy for Z if he does indeed get traded. I could see him paying out of his own pocket for a ring for Z. LeBron has a lot of respect for him.

Yeah, and he should. Everyone in the NBA should have a lot of respect for Z. Has always kept his nose clean, worked as hard as anyone to return from injury and he's been a loyal to his organization as anyone. And the greatest thing about him, when the level of play for the team stepped up when they got LeBron--he stepped his play up too. He's been a great professional.

Maybe Lebron should have thought about Z a bit more when he was lobbying for the Cavs to sign Shaq. Lebron had to know that if they signed Shaq, Z's playing time would be slashed (like it has been).

I have a friend who met Z at an airport after a Cavs game, he said he was one of the nicest celebs/athletes he's ever met.

Dumb... so LeBron shouldn't want what's best for the team in order to not hurt someone's feelings? I'm pretty sure everyone wishes that Z was still his old self... but he's been pretty bad this season so far. Big fall off from last year.

Actually LeBron and the whole Cleveland FO talked with Z about bringing Shaq in and he was perfectly fine with getting his minutes slashed. Even without Shaq I think you would have seen a decline in Z's minutes simply because he cannot continually go the 30+ a game anymore.

From what I have read, many people within the Cavs organization are extremely upset with Brown's decision not just LeBron.

Wine and Gold from RCF's stated that Brown felt rubbed the wrong way this offseason by the FO and this may have been a statement by Brown but a poorly timed one.

I guess Brown gave some BS excuse about matchups or something.

But from what people are saying, Brown is/was upset about something that happened between him and the FO.

Personally if I was Brown I wouldn't be doing shit like this. He is already imo on the boarder line of getting fired. He was outcoached against Orlando and has relied on LeBron way too much in his coaching career. A couple more stunts like this will get him axed, especially if Bron is disliking it.

Now he gets to set the franchise record for most games played, at Phoenix. Brown had to know about this. Like LeBron said, he could have started the game and been immediately subbed for.

He better be starting tomorrow night at home. Brown has a chance to redeem himself. He better do it.

The damage has been done.

You can look at it two ways, both are very bad for Brown.

1) He did not know about Z's record which its something that a head coach should know and care about.

2) He knew about Z's record and purposely sat him because of behind the scenes issues.

There's no way he did not know about the record. Even if he didn't someone on his staff should have. Or someone from the FO could have let Brown know. Serious fuck up. It may not make things right, but he should still start him against Phoenix.

I honestly don't see what the big deal is.

So he gets 1 DNP, it isn't like he got cut, or is out for the season. He'll play tonight. Get the record and all will be well.

Oh its a HUGE deal for the Cavs and Z. This was a special moment that everyone knew about, were pumped about, and then were extremely pissed off when Z was sat out for his first DNP by CD ever in his long career.

Yes, he will get the record tomorrow but Brown screwed up royally and pissed off a bunch of people with his decision without any solid reasoning.

Oh it was his first ever DNP CD.

That I wasn't aware of. I can see that as a big deal. I retract my statement.
