Assume it's a tough cut.... certified at 125 last week at Marysville to be able to get the additional 2 lbs. at Medina over Xmas. No need to kill yourself this early.....there will be plenty of time for that later in the season!! It's a looooong season.Shoot and Sprawl;599884 wrote:Why?

Bishop Ready, Canal Winchester, Dublin Scioto, Gahanna Lincoln, Grove City, Groveport, Hilliard Darby, Pickerington North, Reynoldsburg, St. Francis DeSales, Teays Valley, Valley View
140: Howes and Luft as mentioned before.
145: Button, button! Who's got the button!?!?! If Schembri is down here, watch out! And where will Kowalski (GC) be??? I know DeSales as Jason Allen, but I'm not sure where. Could be here or 152. If here, then Ferguson has to go 160. They'll probably go 145, 152.
152: Ferguson (DeSales), Kowaleski (GC), Schembri will more than likely be here. But, I haven't seen a Gahanna result. Someone mentioned an injury or an illness. If Schembri is back, AND 100%, he'll be a force. If he's not healthy then he'll still be a point scorer.
160:
.......These two weights are hiddne gems for me. So far I have Bowens (HD) who has wrestled as high as 189!!! and George (PN) who placed at Solon. Not too shabby. Hughes (GC) could be a 189 pounder, or he could be a 160 pounder! More than likely he'll be at 171 and have a good tournament. If Lybarger (DeSales) is at 171, he'll be tough to beat. Very solid. But then again, haven't seen anything on him yet either!!! Ready has a kid here whose name escapes me at the moment. It may be Halko, USMC, it just may be... Syphers (I know I'm butchering the spelling here), from the Burg is good. Hoover (RB) is good as well.
171:
189: Leidecker (TV), Brown (GH) and if Hoover (RB) is here will make things good. Keep in mind that I don't know enough about the Valley View kids. They could walk out with 15 champs on Saturday (yeah that's right, I said it... 15! Because they are just that good!!!) Or walk out with an 0-30 record!!! They are an unknown to me.
215: Seth Nelson is back. That's a joke. He's not. However, the next two weight classes are very thin for me. I know Gahanna has a tough kid (saw him at a scrimmage), our kid Waymon (GM) and the Scioto kid. Banks from CW could grind it out though.
285: Gotta like Pick. North's kid. Grove City's kid is a DQ from last year I think. Tommy Rowlands came from Ready so that has to account for something, right???
Anywho, I plan to tape the finals and put them one gohio. That can only happen if the coaches agree. I don't forsee it being a problem, but I will comply with a coaches wishes.

Thank you good sir!! You're the best...just saying. I guess I will throw my worthless opinion out here. The only weight class with no information is the 171's (sort of). I'll take Bowens here over Hughes (who hes pinned this year and last year...i think) or Hoover (who he will pin). As for 189 Brown he will pin or major Liedecker. I dont think Bowens will go to this weight class either. Because he was pinned twice last year by Liedecker ( I may be wrong though). Plus, Brown beat Kwan...The Freak...last year.

Brown is very tough. If Liedecker lost 2x to Harble already...watch out! Brown is way better.

Thats good. Mad me laugh on this terrible day i have been having. I think Brown is good. He is very good. Big Strong kid who has been working alot this past season. I dont think he will pin Leidecker, im not sure Liedecker has been pinned but maybe twice in his high school career. But Leidecker ahs all the talent in the world, he just has to go out and apply it. It would be a tough match i think. Brown and Leidecker could both be on the podium come march. I cant wait until saturday! I love this time of year, minus the cold, snow, and crabby xmas shopping womena t the malls!

Doubt he bumps to 89 though since hes walking around at 65-70.
Dont know what they are going to do with Medina coming up.
I think Bowens intends on going 60 at MIT.
If Longwell goes 19 then look for Donatelli go 25 if not then 25/30.
Not sure what the coach has in mind now since this is an individual tourney now instead of a dual(I think he intended to bump them for duals???).
Id like to see the boys get certified down this week and save the 2lbs for the MIT. Just like what Dad4 said about what CW did last week.
Im not the coach though so take it FWIW.
Also as far as what else Darby has scoring wise.
Valenti 103 and Booth 112 if healthy should make some noise along with El-Gueroush Hvy
Darby's line-up is very good this year and filling out nicely.

I assume you meant "made me laugh". Sorry man. But, Brown will beat Liedecker good. Harble can't beat Brown. Liedecker does have talent but he has "grown" too much. Go Lions!!

yes made me laugh! my bad, crappy typing skills, should have taken typing class in school. I think brown is getting a little too much credit at this point, he was 3rd at Solon losing to the number 4 seed who ended up not even winning the tournament.

You are probably right, iGranby.
Last night I woke up to use the restroom, and as I laid back down, I thought of a few more names. Now that I'm awake again, I can't think of one of them. Darn it!

There is a good chance their might be one more team added to this tournament, hint they're from NE Ohio and have a legit shot at winning a state title as a team...
