I can see Rex making a qb change if Sanchez struggles in the 1st half. Who is the backup?

Rex will not make a QB change unless Sanchez gets hurt.

Yeah, even with Sanchez's struggles lately....Brunell does not give them a better chance to win.

Yeah. I mean, Sachez had a bad two game stretch but before that he had a 2:1 TD to INT ratio on the season and had a 9-2 record.

Jets chances just got better. Seems Troy Polamalu will be sidelined with a leg issue.

Likely out:

Likely isn't definite, I'll wait until Sunday because he hasn't practiced much the last month or so. Even if he didn't practice today I give him a 50/50 shot to play Sunday.

I think the Jets are going to take this one.

They're coming in off a two game losing streak looking to get back on track.

Steelers have a slight margin for error, meaning they can lose this game and still win the division and secure a bye.

That little bit of comfort could be the difference in this game. I say Jets win like 20-17

This Browns fan is pulling for the Steelers. I dislike Rex Ryan that much.

I'm not big into the whole "player returns to face his former team" angle.

I get sick of that but I guess it is pretty significant this week since Holmes made one of the most important plays in Steelers franchise history.

Mike Wallace has emerged as the No. 1 receiver and I think the Steelers are pleased with their two rookies, Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown.

Also, Holmes would've been an unrestricted free agent after this season so he would've only been with the team for this season. And he was scheduled to miss the first four games.

But even with all that I think the Steelers would be better off this season with Holmes. They kind of overreacted at the time and wanted to get him off the team but now that it's this time of year nobody really cares about the offseason problems and suspension. I think the Steelers would've been a better offense and better team with Holmes for a possible playoff/Super Bowl run.

They did pick up Bryant McFadden in a trade with that draft pick and maybe his presence rather than having William Gay start all season has been a difference in winning a few more games. Hard to say.

^^^^He also said he would return a punt for a TD against the Steelers:

I for one am glad he's gone.

IMO, Wallace is starting to come of age, especially on those little slant routes that Holmes used to run. I really think they have those plays in the wheelhouse and are just waiting for the right time to cut them loose.

Hopefully. Lord knows the offense isn't going to score a TD.

What kind of fan picks against his own team? I don't care how crappy you are, you always go in thinking you'll win. No words to describe you, you should have your man card taken away.

John Clayton just said that Troy is Doubtful for Sunday, Heath will probably be a game time decision.

The Steelers have been making it happen all season with a patchwork of second stringers. Here's to hoping the streak continues.

If Troy isn't 75% or so......the Steelers are in trouble. DB's have sucked since Woodson.....Clark isn't good in coverage.

Steelers cannot get a turnover when Polamalu isn't playing....the numbers are insane when he is in there and when he isn't.

This is a big game...can he play on the big possessions and sit out vs Carolina?

I disagree with this because obviously the team isn't going to win every game so you might as well face the facts rather than just having total disregard for the matchups and everything and blindly picking them to win every game 45-3.

It doesn't keep me from cheering any differently during the game.

If Baltimore loses I think the Steelers will win, however.

I could see that putting an extra charge into the stadium and then the team will realize they can basically win the division.
