Yea i used to be on another site not this one. Cant remember the name right now and am a little busy will post it later but basically samething you buy bids and then try to get items. it takes a lot of research to learn when to start bidding and when to not bid at all. I got pretty good winning some pretty cool things but quit cause the amount of people made it to hard to even try anymore. they were running the prices up on stuff and paying almost what it would cost to go buy it at a store.

I tried it once. Seems like there are people or companies that run the price up and buy everything. Some of them had 1,000's of bids. Having to pay for every bid that's crazy.

confirmed my feeling that it's a waste of time.

i've got 16 free bids (from ESPN radio if you are at all interested, click the banner on the left of the homepage promo code ESPN) and it's painstaking.

i'm watching a $500 Visa gift card. and a macbook air.
i'm 100% sure I'm not going to get either one.

I've done this on a similar site back in the summer, Quebids or something like that haha. But unless you have a bunch of bids I wouldnt go after the big products. I mostly stuck to 25-50 dollar gift cards. I got 4 $25 gift cards for like 10 bucks after all the shipping and everything was paid for.

lol the guy that won the visa gift card bid 333 times. at 60 cents each he spent 235.9 for that card (including the winning price). i looked at his history, he once won an auction for 480 bids by bidding 523 times. LOLWUT?

What is the catch to this site?

I am looking at a XBOX Kinect that sold for 9 cents.

bids costs roughly 60 cents a piece and once you bid it restarts the clock at 10 seconds. so the auction can go on forever.

i posted how to get 16 free bids. i'm sitting on mine and watching a few things. i don't think you can win anything without bidding on it 50 times at least.

yeah if you bid and don't get it you're out 60 cents. that's how they make money a guy can bid 100 times and not get the item, but he still just paid 60 bucks for nothing.

how much does one bid raise it? and do you have to pay 60cents per bid and the ending amount it sells for?

You have to buy bids before you can bid. So if you sign up using the ESPN promo code or whatever you will have 16 bids initially. Once you use those bids up, you'd have to buy more bids for 60 cents a piece. So yes, you'd have to essentially pay 60 cents times how many bids it took you to win the item, plus the final amount the item is sold for.

each bid goes up 1 cent. so that means on the tool set, it went from 5 bids to 830 bids in 45 minutes. and yes you pay for each bid plus the amount you end up winning the auction for (FWIW you can't get into the auction without buying bids first). so you can bid 100 times for something and win it for 89 bucks and you just spent 149 bucks for it (60 on bids and 89 on the item). that works if it's a macbook or something, but not for a $100 walmart gift card.

think of it this way, if the item is $10.00 there's been 1000 bids on it, and as such they've mad $600 on the item.

wasted 10 of my 16 free bids and didn't get close to getting the macbook.

this is essentially pointless. post your guys' success/failure here.

I wasted all 16 of mine on trying to get a $50 Wal Mart gift card and stood no chance.

You would have to spend so much money on bids that it really would be pointless to even do it.

I will stick with EBAY.
