I'm very grateful that wrestling was really popular at my high school. Hell, we had a student section at most matches that rivaled the basketball games.

+1. Also wrestling is pretty damn popular in Ohio. That's why they get 68,000+ to the state meet every year.

It's right around 3 months to the state meet. Love going down to Columbus for the week. Shit, I haven't missed one since I was in 7th grade.

I dont dislike it, and I could do it (not well, but could do it). I think its gay because of things like this(the fingers in the ass thing), and that grabbing another mans ass as leverage while wearing spandex is common.

I was reading this thread and getting madder and madder about the ignorance of some posters and then I came across this little gem and was grateful my bosses were at lunch because I lost it.

I have tried this move on my wife a few when she's been drinking. I also am immediately disqualified from the match.

Back to the topic, my son has wrestled for 9 years and recently became certified as a referee as well. During Middle School especially (that age, I guess) he took a lot of "gay sport" ribbing. So he spoke with his coach who spoke with the basketball coach and it was on. This particular big kid had talked a lot of shit so my son asked permission to take him out of basketball practice and over to wrestling practice, assuring the basketball coach that "this won't take long." He was probably about 5'4" and 120# at this time and the other kid was probably 5'10" and 180#. I think it took approximately 20 seconds for the big kid to be cradled and kicking around on his back for the pin. The wrestling coach politely told him he could go back to basketball practice now. LOL That took care of a lot of the ribbing.

Anyway, while I have certainly heard of this practice, I've never had the misfortune of witnessing it either. If it was that blatant, this boy should be prosecuted. That a dispicable thing to do.

Wasn't there a LAX coach in the Columbus area who was fired for sticking his finger up some kid's ass? So... LAX is a gay sport. The video above clearly shows a gay football player molesting another player during a game, must be a gay sport.

I would really like to see any of you walk up to a college wrestler and call him gay and say the sport of wrestling is gay. Better yet, walk into a wrestling room when you are not hiding behind your key board and make that comment.
