He is still hiding from me. But he's more than welcomed to send me a number, because he says he frequents my facebook page on a regular basis (yes I know it's weird).

I agree this number's thing is the worst ever... It makes it very hard to creep on people when my whole news feed is filled with this crap.

I just checked my facebook, and don't see any number updates, though I'm not much of a facebook user and only have around 150 friends on there and only a few of those are college/hs age. It's kind of disappointing because I was all ready to de-friend anybody posting this crap....

I only have 3 friends on there and they were all doing it...now my wall is blank.

Nope sure dont. Went once, nice FAIL. And no sorry, not going to give out my FB as I use it for work and networking and I dont want you stalking my place of employment/friends begging to get close to me creep, its bad enough with all the PMs you send me, its getting sad/pathetic.

I have one friend from high school who is doing this shit, he actually requested that more people send him numbers. He is annoying as hell. Each one of them is along these lines:

Yeah, the annoyance factor is definitely bad enough. Punitive measures are justified.

They claim it was "in support of something". In reality, it was that typical female crap of "Tee hee, let's all have our own little secret for a few days and the boys will be SOOOOO confused lol".
I don't know anyone that saw "green!" and thought, "Wow, I am now more aware of the existence of breast cancer than I was five minutes ago. Thanks, airheads! You've taught me a valuable public health lesson!"

I've got ~1,200 friends and I've only seen one person do it. Though I guess it's because I've hit "hide" on so many of the annoying people over the last three years.
The "tag people in this picture of 'ginger,' 'jock,' etc etc" thing was terrible too. Especially the pokemon version.

I don't agree w/ya on that one. For some of us it is like this...someone says do this (something innocent) in support of breast cancer awareness. Your Mom, like 2 weeks before, had a mastectomy due to breast cancer and one of your closest friends has died less than a year ago due to mastetic breast cancer. You kind of feel obligated to do it. Not all chicks are "tee hee" or "air heads" just like not all guys are jerks.
Actually it did bring some awareness to BC seeing as it made the national news and they spoke of the “reason” for the game. I will agree though that if it were truly for BC awareness it could have been done more tastefully and more effectively.

Someone needs to tell all of these people that Facebook is not MySpace, and that if they want to do stupid stuff like this then MySpace is where it needs to happen.
