Correct me if I'm wrong, but Pick North is no longer a dual tournament.....USMCdevil05;593961 wrote:Actually i did some thinking and TV goes to more bracket tourneys than dual tourneys. TV goes to Olentangy, Brecksville, Hilliard, and Watkins, those are all tough tournaments. They only go to 3 Dual tourneys, Pick North and The Viking invitational and Gahanna duals. If you remember correctly Teays did make the state duals 2 years ago and finished 7th, lost a close one to Central Crossing who finished 5th.
All of this doesnt even matter, ive said it once and ill say it again, i think come the district tournament there is about 5 kids on this tv team that are going to turn some heads and make there names known.

cruiser_96;592363 wrote:Agreed, Shank. And Grove City has excellent pieces in place to make a strong push as well. Mark this down... OCC Ohio is going to be very strong this year. (These sentences are in response to Shank's post about OCC-Ohio having 3 teams in the top 5.)
Lancaster just placed 2nd at the Waize, Grove City has a dual with Kilbourne tomorrow night. That dual will be a better gauge (IMO) than their triumph the first week of the season at Franklin Heights. Gahanna returns all but one guy from last year's team, and oh yeah, that team was 2nd in the OCC. They'll open up at Kenton Ridge maybe??? Perhaps Kettering. Pickerington North is...well, Pickerington North. Sure they lost a great deal but make no mistake, their 103 is solid, 112 is tough, 119 has a rumor of his ability (WILL - not can - produce on the varsity level) 135 though 145 are dynamic (Hinze, Howes and Corder). Depending on if Anderson is in the line-up and where, watch out. George just placed at Solon, along with Sophomore AA Elfline (I know that's not how you spell it, but that's how it sounds.)
All that to say, the OCC Ohio will be very competitive.
All these teams are good and it should be a very competitive confrence, but Pickerington Central should be in the mix as well. Coach Allen always brings out a strong team and will be very tough in his second year at Central.

I don't even know what "Pickerington North is...well, Pickerington North" means! They need a lot of talent to over-come their lack of coaching!
And respect the man's name!

Grove City 33 Worthington Kilbourne 33, Grove City wins by criteria. Great dual started at 130 Grove City was up 33-14 after hvy, Worthington Kilbourne wins last 4 to tie. Not sure about Kilbourne's lineup but Grove City had a few backups in the lineup.

Kilbourne's 135 was, who won U.A. tournament last week, was out with a thumb injury and Kilbourne forfeited heavyweight also due to injury. Anyway, some exciting matches, especially at 189 and at 135, both of which did not go Kilbourne's way.
