Does anybody have any idea who Buckeye Local's coach is, or is gonna be?
Anybody on the hot seat?
A list of changes in 2010?
Hell, a list of the top ten current OVAC coaches and a top 10 list of non-current OVAC coaches.
Assistants who might be swayed to be a head coach.
fill free to offer any info.

Anthony Barsch would make a great head coach...he played for Buckeye west and graduated ,85...college ball at Bethany. Was a head coach in Berea , KY for about a decade and has been an asst at Buckeye Local for several years. Lives in the community and is already on staff as a teacher. BL Board will probably try to get this done before the new Board term...just a guess...politics as usual. Hope whoever it is is given a chance to develop the program. just my 2 cents. Good Luck panthers.

Buckeye has a lot of guys coming back, they need to get someone who will build on what was started. If they change the offense and defense for next year they will be good, but if they keep the same O and D they should be on top of the Buckeye 8 again. "Just my two cents"
Toronto has big problems. They have been loosing games and athletes to other schools for a couple of years now. Not sure who would take that job.

The football coach IMO needs to go! Has had 4 years with 2-3 win seasons. But who knows?

Check Edison's website under employment and they have the head football coaching job listed as open for next year.

OK Thank you.ovacker wrote: Check Edison's website under employment and they have the head football coaching job listed as open for next year.
Should be interesting to see who is willing to take over a program in need of an overhaul.
Hope they choose a good one.

There's another opening in the OVAC that happened a few days ago. I'm sure you'll hear about it in the coming days/weeks. A man resigned that was the lifesblood of a program. He got put in a crappy situation(the program itself) and did more with what he had than anyone else will be able to do. Sad.

-That would be the job I'm referring to. Coach Bendle did as best as he could possibly do in the situation that they have at Meadowbrook. There are so many things outside the program itself working against the football team. Highlighted by their competition in Dover, New Philly, Cambridge, lately Coshocton and the like. Pay to play is killing them and the culture just isn't there right now. Coach Bendle was moving forward and now will not get the chance to see it through. Too bad. I don't know who the heck they're going to get to take that job.Luther_Vandam wrote: I'm interested as well about who this is??? Meadowbrook job is also open heard it from a good source. Yeah it will not be easy to fill, They lost a really good football coach. Can't make chicken salad out of the other chicken stuff. Believe me I know all too well about all the outside factors at meadowbrook.....they didn't go forward they went 10 steps backwards by him resigning.visionquest wrote:-That would be the job I'm referring to. Thats a great question I would have to say no because of the potential situations that could occur. Well it would not be in a board members best interest to be a head coach it raises to many questions.peoplerfunny wrote:Can A board member be a coach ?footballer wrote: I heard a board member who was just elected is going to take the job at Edison and clean house.

Yeah but this is becoming a potential problem with mist school districts where the AD is either a teacher or an administrator and just not the AD. Double dipping happens in a lot of school districts.gottadime wrote: Buckcrys AD is a head BB coach whats the difference.. One of his jobs is gettin shortchanged. -Exactly...it's just sad. It's not fair to the kids. But, the board members don't see that. They're just on the outside, and one thing they always listen to is the parents and anyone with an axe to grind. We all know this. The folks within the district THINK we should win and don't look at all the different factors that go into why they're not winning. Not a new situation..but, another situation that just highlights the shortsightedness of some parents who lay blame on the coaches' head. I guess the coaches know this going in...however, Meadowbrook must start over...again, from scratch. I honestly believe that they will end up with some random dude within the district that has, for example, a kid on the team as being the head coach. I really don't know who is going to come in with any kind of experience and take over the program after talking to the right people. Maybe a young assistant in the area or something. Regardless, it's sad...again, very sad.Luther_Vandam wrote:Yeah it will not be easy to fill, They lost a really good football coach. Can't make chicken salad out of the other chicken stuff.
