The Bengals can beat the Steelers....Bruce Arians can keep any team in it...and if Pittsburgh gets called for holding a lot by the OL and the DL can't get to Palmer...it'll be TIGHT
I agree. That's why I think the AFC is New England's to win at the moment. Of the top teams, they seem to be the one who has the ability to put teams away early. With a couple of exceptions (Oakland, Tampa Bay), all of Pittsburgh's wins seem to be the sort that either goes down to the wire or is close until the fourth (like the Cleveland game, where it was reasonably close until Pittsburgh put it away late). And the same seems to be pretty true of the Jets and Baltimore. In recent weeks, New England has a decisive win over Pittsburgh and an brutalization of the Jets in their favor. And, unless they really stumble, will have home field advantage.
Talent-wise, I think the Steelers can win it, but they just don't put teams away. No way Cincy should have come back against them. No way Buffalo should have taken them to OT. But it happens often...every year. That hideous five-game losing streak last year...it seemed like they kept teams in the game and blew it week after week. They haven't blown it like that this year, but they're dancing on a tightrope too much for my tastes (and heart).
