Michael Lee from The Washington Post has been told that the Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t the only team interested in Antawn Jamison. The Miami Heat has also expressed interest of late, according to a league source.

Just a couple things I saw about teams interested in Jamison last year. You have been right about some things regarding the Cavs.......this isnt one of them

First off, someone's tweet doesn't have much validity. Secondly, I'm sure there were other teams being mentioned as rumored suitors of Jameson, however, obviously whether true or not, Washington is going to give off that perception.

Haha exactly. Though it's not trolling if you say that to Herb Washington (look it up).

I'm still patiently awaiting to hear this explanation. As he considers me a troll so I want to see what criteria I fit.

Two days to Deadline 10! Go to the homepage and click on the link on the top right-hand corner for an official countdown.

11:20 p.m. Eastern
-It’s now a big waiting game for the Cavaliers with their offers submitted to the Wizards and Suns for Antawn Jamison and Amar’e Stoudamire, says Brian Windhorst. If Miami is able to take Jason Richardson as well as Amar’e, that will probably be enough to get it done. Boston is trying to move Rasheed Wallace to make room for Jamison and Corey Maggette could be a Cavalier if all else fails.

Jamison was wanted by more than one team at the deadline. It had nothing to do with the Wizards "putting it out there" so that more teams would compete for his services. Jamison is getting older and he has an ugly contract. Hes also a career 20 and 8 guy. To think that nobody else wanted Jamison other than Cleveland is wrong.

The 4:00 minute mark is where most of the game footage starts. The Heat fans at 6:30 are the ones that I saw get escorted out. I saw a couple beers getting dumped on them, didnt realize it was that many though

Pwned. Sometimes you would think he would get sick of being wrong and ridiculed by the masses on this site.

I Know there were rumors of other teams. Cavs fans started rumors that Chris Paul was available, but that doesn't mean there was anything behind it.

The Cavs got Jamison for basically the last pick in the first round and an expiring. You think if that many teams wanted a 20/8 guy someone else would have stepped up with a better off than that. The Cavs basically got him for nothing, and there is a reason for that.

LMAO so because the Cavs got him and not any other team, it means that no other team was interested, while completely ingoring the economics of the deal and the fact that cavs were taking on a huge contract which put them further into the luxury tax, a move most owners were unwilling to do. Nice FAIL, keep trying to back up and re posture instead of admitting you were wrong and talking out of your ass.

Give it up. You are wrong. You think Cavs fans made up the rumor that Paul wanted traded? You think Chris Paul met with the front office of the Hornets to discuss his future with the team because of Cavs fans. Gimme a fucking break. Admit when you're wrong.

CP3 said himself over the summer that he wouldn't mind playing with LBJ in Cleveland. NO didn't want to let him go, opting instead to trade Collison.

As for Jamison, you act as if Washington getting 11 million off the salary isn't a big deal? Not only did they get the relief of Jamison being off their books, they also shed Z as well.

That's HUGE for a team trying to rebuild, as was a compensatory draft pick.

When will Cleveland ever let this go. He gave 7 years to you. Do you ever think you will get another big time player to come to the Cavs now? You see how you treat people. Another 30 plus years with no championships. lol

This is one argument that I will never understand. Its been 6 months, Cavs fans arent allowed to boo Lebron? Brett Favre still gets booed in Green Bay. How long ago was that? Manny gets booed in Boston? Hell, Arod still gets booed in Seattle. You act like this ONLY happens in Cleveland.

It's sad you have to repeat yourself with this same exact post, for the ignorant posters.

I know what Chris Paul said. Obviously he didn't get traded, but the thing all along was that the Cavs didn't have the pieces that New Orleans would obviously be looking for. It was never even close to being discussed.

The Jamison trade was a GREAT move by Washington. They made themselves a worse team and were able to get Wall and cut salary. It was a no brainer for them. But don't think that if a better offer came along (young talent or a higher draft pick) they wouldn't have taken it.

True. At the same time....I'm sure the Grizz could have got a better deal for Gasol. Just because there isnt always a better offer doesnt mean there arent teams interested

The Gasol trade was unique in many ways. People still doubted him league wide because he played on a bad team and the Grizz desperately wanted cap relieft and young talent, which they got in the long run. Not saying it was a good trade, but not quite as bad as some think.

But yes, there are certain trades that are completed and you wonder how something better wasn't offered.

I played with Miami last night on NBA 2K11. I had a lot of fun.

Moral of this story? There is none.

Thanks.
