And the teams they beat have a combined winning record overall, unlike the other two Big Ten champs.

Wisconsin's Big Ten schedule:
Michigan State
Minnesota
Ohio State
Iowa
Purdue
Indiana
Michigan
Northwestern

Please point out the 3 or 4 teams that would beat Stanford out of those. Michigan State would be a game but they have also struggled with some bad teams, Ohio State would be a good game but Wisconsin proved that the smash mouth running game as well as an accurate QB can beat them, and then Iowa who was exposed coming down the stretch. Mix in games with UNLV, San Jose State, Arizona State and Austin Peay and Stanford very easily could be undefeated if they played that schedule.

Michigan St., Ohio St. and Iowa could easily beat them, and on a bad day I could see Michigan, NW and even Purdue beating them.

I'm starting to wonder if people have seen Stanford play this year. Their second team wouldn't even be on the roster at many other programs. If their offense is rolling they are formidable, but they can be beat by a lot of teams.

So yeah, I'm calling you out....which Stanford games have you watched this year?

Notre Dame, Oregon, USC, Arizona, Cal. The last 3 I only watched parts of because they were on versus and I was flipping back and forth. Please tell me which games you have seen that prove that teams like Michigan, Northwestern and Purdue (this was a joke right? the same team that lost to Toledo would somehow beat Stanford?) could beat Stanford. Michigan State very easily could have 4 losses this year, they win games with smoke and mirrors.

I tend to agree. Stanford is good make no mistake but they can be beaten on any given weekend by the upper tier of the Big 10 including Penn State.

Ok, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Michigan State are good but they could be beaten on any given weekend by the upper tier of the PAC 10 and SEC. Penn State is an upper tier Big Ten team? Your already shrinking credibility just took another hit.

karen lotz;579467 wrote:Because they put up over 150 points against Northwestern and Indiana? Wisconsin is a very good team this year and plays a very physical brand of football. If some of you guys don't think Oregon could score the same amount of points against teams like that...
I think Oregon could as well, but that doesn't detract from what Wisky has done...I remember all the hype Oregon was getting when they were hanging 60+ on New Mexico, Portland State and UCLA, and that's what is giving Wisconsin a lot of attention these days. IMO, Wisconsin has a better offensive AND defensive line than Oregon does, and that's why, IMO, they're playing the best football in the country right now.

Bahahahahahaha, TCU #2? Nevada in the top ten? This is the worst I've seen. TCU is lucky that they didn't lose to San Diego St.

Defensive line no doubt Wisky has the edge. Wisconsin's OLine is great for what they need it to do which is being able to pound sand up opposing defenses asses. Oregon's OLine is more athletic and is great for what Chip Kelly wants them to do. The styles are so different its hard to say for sure which is "better." Both are good units.

While I do agree Gibby's list is well, for lack of a better word, retarded, you can't say TCU is lucky they didn't lose to SDSU and omit the fact how lucky Sparty has been in some of their games. Fake FG in OT (that could have been disallowed bc of delay of game), bad performances against Northwestern and a Purdue team that lost at home to a MAC school, and a loss to a 7-5 Iowa team.

1. Auburn-Amazing is the only word that describes their will to win.
2. Oregon-Awesome offense, but I feel not as complete as Auburn
3. TCU-Unbeaten, need say no more. Hard to do now a days. Great defense
4. Stanford-Only loss to Oregon, and have a dynamic, balanced offense
5. Wisconsin-Insane offense right now and playing Badger football. Would love the Rose Bowl to be them and Stanford
6. OSU-Offense is inconsistent, but defense is solid.
7. Boise-Lost a heartbreaker on an insane hail mary. Still, gotta finish.
8. Arkansas-Great win over LSU, and may have fought itself to the Sugar Bowl.
9. MSU-Solid year, surpassed all expectations. Have been the only team to beat Wisconsin.
10. Oklahoma-Inconsistent this year, but playing well near the end.

Sure, but I'm not disputing TCU being ahead of MSU though, I'm disputing VT being ahead of them.

Yup. VT is playing some good ball and played well vs. Boise. Slip-ups happen once in awhile. MSU has played a pitiful schedule and barely won in alot of games. Not impressed with them in the slightest.

MSU's schedule is pitiful and VT's is not? Hahahahaha, you're killing me. The ACC is horrendous and they lost to Boise St. and JAMES MADISON!!! Your lack of football knowledge is more and more apparent with every post you make.

I dont see anywhere in my post where I said VT played a tough schedule. I said they are playing some good ball.

So VT is playing some pretty good football against a shit schedule. That makes them better than MSU who has a better record, also against a shit schedule in your opinion?

The PAC 10 is weak and should get very little respect. The Bowls will prove me correct.
