I talked to a coach yesterday and he said the kids are really excited for Saturday. He said the swagger will be in full force and the Riders will be swarming.

I don't think a pep talk is needed this week. I think the kids understand what this means. Beat another team and move on to week 13...just so happens to be Norwayne were playing and that adds a little more spice!

Well said! We just need to take care of business and move on.

The thing that kills me is that people get offened when we talk about our tradition and or experience. Are we not allowed to be proud of that?

It is all jealousy and as much as anyone doesn't want to admit it.....it's still there. Imagine if the tables were turned...we'd be sick of hearing about it too. But they are not turned and facts is facts! It is neat to be part of it for all of us.

Also let's not forget, we are not the only proud football program in the state.....Steubenville, Massillon etc are very passionate and love their Tradition just like we do.....and rightfully so. This is something we should be proud of and take pride in what current and former coaches and players did to make Orrville Football what it is today. This is something that was earned not given to us and a lot of hard work went in to make our tradition what it is today.....and because of that tradition we are the biggest game on a lot of schedules.

And because of that tradition, Mr. Dorksen has taken it upon himself to label this game as the Wayne County Showdown...

He should have called it....WCAL's Super Bowl
..or Orrville's second round game would be fine with us.

Glad to report that our players are taking that article with a grain of salt. Business as usual in the halls of OHS. One game at a time.

I would like to see a former Coach Curtis and Coach Burkholder come back in for a pregame speech similar to a speech in Canton Central Catholic's locker room a bunch of years ago. Old Rider you may remember that one. Best I ever herd. I really think we could have walked through walls that night. I know it is not needed for these guys for this game but it can't hurt either. Riders have a lot on the line and the papers are going to make sure to put it out there all week. Just do what we do.

We had a very similar speech given to the team from coach Tipton my junior year. Love when former riders come back to give back to the program.

Coach Tipton came back to passing scrimmage with us when I was in high school. He was coaching at Copley. We crushed his team bad and when it was time to go to the goal line series he pulled his team off the field and said no we are done here. It was funny and a huge compliment to our team.

Orrville fans I just called BW 3 in Medina near the field. They have the back room booked for some party and were unaware of the football game Friday night. I told them they will be getting slammed pre game. The best way to get tables will be to arrive early. They will not reserve any tables. First come first serve. They only reserve the back room.

gonna be a beautiful afternoon, Here's aniother idea....get a bucket or two to go and let's get to the stadium early. We can watch some football on the outdoor screen on the RV's and have some fun. My guess is we will try to get their early and park in the same spot we did last year which is right behind the Visitor's bleachers. That way we are near the home locker room and can give our boys a cheer when they arrive. I'll get back on here with a time. the more the merrier.

GoRiders,
Assume you meant Saturday night?
Weather is supposed to be in the mid 50's...perfect tailgating weather. Bring some food and chairs and forget BW3. Food sucks there anyway.

You are correct and that was directed to Mr. 300 himself and his jab at Chase Hoobler.
