You shouldn't call Riders1 an ah so! it is not appropriate for a high school forum!

Well, I wasn't thinking in your line of direction.

How about in my German heritage way?......"Ach so, Ach so!".

What are your thoughts on "spring football" in Ohio? On jj's their is a thread about how the OHSAA is going to vote on this issue. I am against the idea, I would much rather the conditioning sessions, position camps and 7 on 7's not be limited in the summer....just make an hour rule where you can't have more than 8-10 hours a week of football activity. I think if coaches could set aside two weeks (one in June and one in July) for families to go on vacation, but other than that start preparing for the upcoming season...I just don't think we need "spring ball" in high school, it would hurt the other spring sports too much especially in smaller schools.

What are your thoughts on this issue?

Signing day is Wednesday.

Max to Nebraska is the one getting all the press. Any other Rider seniors signing on anywhere.

Heard Cody Rice to Marietta.

Duane long had this to say about Monheim when talking about the 2012 Ohio Linebackers

http://www.duanelongreport.com/2011-articles/january/2012-linebackers.html
Mason Monheim, 6-1, 215, Orrville
This is a kid Mark found. If he is legitimately 6-1 and 215 lbs I will put him right in the discussion about who is number one in the state. Yes, I said that. He is the most complete linebacker in the state. He is great at the line of scrimmage. As good as Ringer. He is great in space. Even better than Bolden. This is a class full of strikers. You have heard of Bam Bradley, Devon Bogard, Antonio Johnson and Marcus Foster. Monheim belongs in that conversation. What a hitter. Great tackler too. Runs great. Motor is on overdrive on every play. Illinois has already come in with an offer.

I think Reusser is going to play somewhere, I am not sure where though.

Tre would make a very good RB for a D II-III school, but has to get his grades up before he can think where to play.

Is anybody else starting to tingle about Orrville Football in 2011?

If you had to set a goal, right now....for the 2011 team, what would it be?

Beat Wooster (Obviously)
OCC title?
10-0?
State Title?

yeah I can answer that. As i write....6'1" and probably 210-212....maybe a tad more. That is with next to nothing on. regular gym clothes and tennies...215+. Mason picked up a virus around Thanksgiving...vomiting most of the night before Chagrin....it hung with him abut 3-4 weeks until he was back to normal..he was down to about 196 at one point and pretty lean. He is still lean but is back up to where he was last June. I would expect with the schedule he is keeping in regards to lifting and speed work to be pushing 220+ By late spring? Usually this time of year he is lifting and swimming and it would be next to impossible to keep wight on. When swimming would stop his body would change dramatically, quickly. this year, that change has already occurred abut 4 months earlier...makes me wonder what we (The Red Riders) might put on the field come August?

Not that 5knots needs back up on that, but I have a place in my classroom on the wall for measuring height and he is legit 6'1". On the weight, I also surmise 215 plus.
