Nevada isn't a bad team, but if you think you are a national power, you blow them out.

Yah he was yelling at Winston Venable

Hmm...what bowl will Boise end up in? Any chance they play OSU in a bowl game? I think that'd be a close one. (and I'm being honest).
I'd rather see OSU play them rather than an LSU or VT.

You dont have to blow everyone out when you're a national power.
Case and point OSU snuck by a very very average Cinci team the year they won the title. But they DID win and thats al that matters I understand...but you dont always have to win with style points.
Edit, meant to quote someoen, but theres been lke 10 posts since and im too lazy to look

I agree, but there is a huge difference between OSU 2002 and Boise this year. Boise played 3 ranked teams all year and beat 2 of them. OSU played half their schedule against ranked teams and beat all of them. So one slip up with their schedule is ok, Boise St. needed to win all 3 of theirs. And Nevada? Not a perennial powerhouse.Hb31187;576725 wrote:You dont have to blow everyone out when you're a national power.

May I add Boise really loses credit after being up 24-7 with 2 mins left in the 3rd quarter. Total choke job. Not top 5 material.

i don't think nevada is a terrible team, i just didn't think boise deserved to be ranked that high as they were. so yes, "national championship contender" boise should have wiped the floor with nevada. but for "maybe a little better than nevada" boise (as i always thought they were), it's not a bad loss
it would have been cool to see if boise could have hung with wisconsin, but i think it would have ended up with wisconsin piling up about 300 yards on the ground en route to 34-13 blowout

This year the WAC champion plays in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl against the 6th choice of Pac-10 teams. Of course, the Pac-10 doesn't have 6 bowl eligible teams, so they could play anyone.

I saw a lulzy joke online:
They shouldn't be too hard on Kyle Brotzman. He's a college student, not a professional athlete like Cam Newton.

And that, my friend, is why Boise St has NO BUSINESS even sniffing a BCS bowl game.

and the thing that sucks is an even less-deserving tcu now gets to be run into the ground by wisconsin in the rose bowl

Why? The only thing it did was push us further away from a playoff.

We were about a moons distance from a play-off anyway.
