BEP is none of the above, it's studio created music from the minds of record (or should I say music download) producers. It isn't musically creative enough to even fall into a genre.

The only question is whether they will autotune, lip-sync, or just say screw it and not even attempt to act like they are making music.

Bring back Up With People. They did it for years.

(Actually the best was U2--that 9/11 tribute they did brought chills)

I'm good with BEP. Hopefully Fergie doesn't have any wardrobe/incontinence problems. Maybe she's older than she looks, lol.

Another thread would be who would be most accepted, because you are not going to please everyone. I'd say let's try BEP. They have some catchy songs and did an NFL opener in PGH a year or so ago.

This is the one thart instantly came to mind. It was beyond horrible.

One a side note, Lewis Black does a great bit about this halftime show.

The only talented musicians left out there are the older acts, sadly. If you want something popular and newer, you have to put shit like the BEP's up there.

Thats true to an extent. The good bands out there arent really popular and/or dont have the type of music for a football game.

I think The Killers could put on a great show, and they have an international audience.....but might not be young enough for the general U.S. population.

I wish we'd see a Foo Fighters SB halftime show sometime, it'd be amazing. Though I'm probably just dreaming.

I think Coldplay has the biggest following, and makes the best music out of the current (non-old) bands. But their music is pretty much anti get excited about a Super Bowl music.

Killers would be good, but who would be excited pre-SB?? The majority of the audience probably doesnt know them.

I agree with the U2 comment they put on an awesome show.

MB- The Killers would be a great choice I love their music.

And guys BEP isn't that bad at least its not Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber.

Seeing the too posts before me I think the Foo Fighters would be an awesome band... Laley I agree while Coldplay is good band I just don't think they are a good fit for the SB.

Indeed. That would be the only good part of their performance, but it would be a DAMN GOOD moment!

Springsteen was good. Everyone else sucked.

How come they never have random football games during the intermission of concerts? Seems like the same shit here -- every halftime show leaps over the fine line of cheesiness. I would rather watch the commercials than sit through these horrible halftime shows. The bigger question: is the Lingerie Bowl on this year???

Never said I liked Coldplay, though I dont mind their music. But I cant really think of a more popular band world wide that most people dont mind the music of.

Springsteen was very good . . . he has more energy and is in better shape than most people and musicians half his age.

Prince was absolutely outstanding, and Petty wasn't half bad.
