The last three years were fun. But none of them started this way. Hard not to get pumped up if a Warrior fan!!!

I read in the round up that they were down 22-13 after the 1st then battled back. They lost the battle of the boards but still won the game. I am somewhat surprised at the great start they have had. I look forward to catching them on the tourney trail.

We got a little sloppy tonight. Alliance hit a couple big three's to get it down to a 4 point game in the 4th. Then we pushed it right back up to 13.
Carrollton won 65-52.

Nice even number ... 10-0!
Warriors win over Canton South 69-52. Wasn't really that close. We got a little complacent at beginning of 4th quarter.
A little of the hype gone for Sunday due to Logan Elm's loss this past Tuesday.

Wow ... that was an ugly one! We won 38-36 but left a lot to be desired. Played down to Logan Elms pace. Like it better when we score 70 a game. But a win is a win!!!!!

Are you too young to remember the old saying "Offense wins games, defense wins championships"?
The answers are 0 Carrollton, 0 W.Holmes, and 1 for Hiland in 1992, and I believe they won by scoring around 75 to80 points a game that year, not for their defense winning games.
That was definitely an ugly game last night and had the Logan Elm player been able to hit 2 free throws after the buzzer they could still be playing. None of the games there yesterday were very good quality offensive displays.

I definitely agree with you on that point. Everyone's offense yesterday was bad. I couldn't believe Coshocton didn't score a single point in their 2nd qt. Then Dover scored 8 points in the first half. And Carrollton followed that with a 5 point 3rd qt. It was crazy.riders1;641146 wrote:

If Carrollton and Zanesville continue their winning ways, they could meet again at Athens. That one would be worth the drive.

I don't think so. We played them earlier in the year and they didn't have a whole lot. While I do agree that their record is a fluke they should easily handle Coshocton.

I know you have no clue what you are talking about. We beat them by 14 ... 75-61!!! Lowdermilk went off for 36 ... 12 of 14 from 2 pt ... 2 for 4 from 3 land and 6 free throws.
The record is no fluke as much as you want it to be. And if Dover makes it to play Carrollton your boys are in big trouble.

Why do you think our record is a fluke??? We made it deep in playoffs last two years and we start 4 seniors from those teams.BlueDevil11;648275 wrote:I don't think so. Looking forward to a rematch with Z'ville ... hope it happens!!!

I also believe Carrollton would beat Dover this year. Dover just isnt that good right now.

I looked at their schedule and while I don't know much about the teams that you have played, I know about East Liverpool and Coshocton. You only beat East Liverpool by 5. You can say it was early in the season, but they were missing one of their best players with a hand injury. We beat them by 20 at their place and then played horrible last night and won by 10. Coshocton is bad. There is not much talent on that team. You shouldve won bigger than that but a win is a win. Also Logan Elm. I was talking to some of the kids on the Zanesville team and they said they beat Logan Elm by 30 over the summer. You won by 2. I havent seen them play but based on what I know, I believe that the record is a fluke. Zanesville has two losses. One to the best team in West Virginia, Wheeling Park, and then a terrible loss to Newark. But since then they are playing much better and I believe that this team is better than the team last year.LocoEngineer66;648777 wrote:Why do you think our record is a fluke??? This is the same Carrollton team only better that you guys only beat by 3 last year at Athens. So I think we are better than you are giving us credit for. Everyone is entitled to a bad game and ours was against Logan Elm and we played horrible. We average 72 a game and only scored 38 against them. As far East Liverpool goes, I am not gonna say it was cause it was early in the season. But I will say we did not have Lowdermilk or Peterson that game. We were up by like 17 when Robbie Smith fouled out and didn't have any "good" ball handlers and turned it over like 20 times in last 4 minutes of the game. That was the only reason that game was close.BlueDevil11;649003 wrote:I looked at their schedule and while I don't know much about the teams that you have played, I know about East Liverpool and Coshocton.
