Is Boise and TCU comparable to tOSU? Possibliy but could they sustain it year in and year out? Probably not in the bigger conferences. Not only would teams scout and know Boise/TCU better but I think the grind of a more competitve conference would produce some losses. They definitely could have their years, ie Northwestern, etc. but I believe they would lose 2-3 conference games per year in the Big Ten (especially now that Nebraska has been added and it's that much stronger.). Could they win the conference sometimes? Yes but year in year out they would not compete at the level of tOSU.

Hey, if things play out like they should, Wisconsin is probably going to get Boise State in the Rose Bowl. I don't think BS can hang with that O-line of Wisconsin, but you never know. While some folks would love to see TCU against the Buckeyes, it's likely that it will never happen because of the automatic conference tie-in on the remaining BCS bowl games.

If Boise goes to the Rose Bowl then that would pretty much assure OSU vs. LSU in the Sugar Bowl if they both win on Saturday

Oh yeah and Ohio State plays a gauntlet, led by Ohio, Eastern Michigan and Marshall. Real football powers. Ohio State better focus on Michigan. It will not be a blowout by any means. As usual all Buckeye fans think their shit doesn't stink and their team is royalty. If they do go to a BCS bowl, they will get beat anyways, like always. F**K Ohio State.

While tOSU's schedule may be weaker than usual, it is still stronger than Boise and TCU's....further I'm not siggesting suggesting that a one loss OSU team should jump and undefeated BSU/TCU THIS YEAR. But from a historical perspective, OSU's schedule is a lot tougher than Boise or TCU. Almost every major team has a few cupcakes/tuneup games., It's just that THIS year, historically strong teams on OSU's schedule are uncharacterisically weak.Miami, Penn State and Michigan usually are top 20 teams if not top 10....and by the quirk in the Big Ten's schedule, OSU doesn't play Michigan State.. On the other hand Boise and TCU might be playing the toughest teams that they ever have scheduled....and their schedule is STILL weaker than OSU.

It's not even a debate. Indiana was 4-0 out of conference playing teams similar to what they would play if they were in the WAC or Mountain West. Sure the top teams would probably beat them, but Indiana would be a 8, 9, or 10 win team out there, and that win would look much better for Boise than it does for Ohio State because Indiana, after rolling through the nonconference, has not managed to win a game in the Big Ten.

Wow we have the human game simulator here. I mean you say Ohio State will beat these teams easily through a lot of research and stats huh. I'm sure you said last year Ohio State would be Purdue by 24+ and USC easily at home. Ohh yea and OSU would beat Wisky this year by 3+.Tiger2003;575250 wrote:I have never been impressed with TCU I really don't think they are that great like everyone else thinks they are. OSU would beat TCU by 14+
OSU would beat Boise by 3+

I nominate this for dumbest post of the year.
Indiana played the weakest non conference college football schedule out of everyone in college football. They played the 2 worst teams in FBS football and one of the worst FCS football teams.
Indiana beat a 1-10 FCS team.
Indiana State a 1-10 Akron team.
Indiana beat a 2-9 Sun Belt team.
And their most impressive out of conference win... a 4-7 Sun Belt team.
Those are 4 of the worst football teams in college football.
You're an idiot!

Why does everyone leave out : Wisconsin, Iowa, Penn State, Michigan...etc thats where Boise and TCU fail...they might play ONE good team all year, the big schools have to go against 4 -6 within 8 weeks. That is the fucking difference

Hmmm...so how does that stack up against a 3-9 MWC team, plus 1-10, 2-9, and 4-7 WAC teams? Somebody is completely missing the point here.

We're talking about the same Indiana team who beat Arkansas State by two, right? We're also talking about the Indiana team who gave up 83 points in one game this season, right?

The guy just said perhaps the most idiotic thing of all time. Indiana football is atrocious. They are not a winning football program if you put them in the WAC or Mountain West. Their only 4 wins are against the worst teams in the country. Teams that wouldn't even got 5-6 in FCS/I-AA football.

Again, those four wins are against teams just like the bottom half of the WAC. Right there you can pretty much count them as being at least .500 in that conference and that is the point. If they played the same non-conference schedule as they play now, thats an 8-win season. So, basically you've just given Boise an 8-0 head start on the rest of the country because even the WORST BCS teams could do the same thing.

I get what you are saying (and the WAC is terrible, yes) but I respectfully disagree about Indiana. That is a bad football team. They win 4-5 games because when you are in the WAC, you're the cupcake. You aren't playing Arkansas State anymore.

Replace the Big Ten schedule Indiana plays with the WAC and Indiana keeps its OOC schedule. It is reasonable to say that this year's Indiana team would have beaten (at a minimum) La Tech, Idaho, Utah State, New Mexico State, and San Jose State to go along with 4-0 OOC. Thats 9-3 at worst. Hell, throw in a couple upsets and they still have a winning record and you guys are saying they are one of the worst teams ever. If the worst team in a BCS conference can go .500 or better in the WAC, it puts the quality of competition into perspective.
You guys are making excuses for Indiana's wins, but they'd only get more playing those same types of teams in a conference like the WAC.

They might have beaten Idaho and New Mexico State, but they would have struggled w/ San Jose St. and La. Tech
