So, I was doing a late-night email check and on the Yahoo! homepage, the main story had this headline/sub-headline:

"How Thanksgiving dinner can be deadly

Eating a huge meal of carbs, fat, and salt can quadruple the chance of a heart attack."

I find this (the statistics of it) very hard to believe, but I remain unsurprised. Guess what, everything you do these days is linked to heart disease. You didn't work out today? You just increased your risk for a heart attack. You just ate Taco Bell? Also increased. You work at a stressful job? Increased. And even if you avoid all those things, if your family history is prone to heart disease, you automatically are.
All four of my grandparents (dead before the age of 80) had problems with strokes, heart attacks, and DVTs. I'm 23 and already have hypertension. Guess what my fate is regardless of whether I eat Thanksgiving or not (which I won't be, since I have to work).
