That's also taken away the luster for me as well. Everything you have said is a problem in NASCAR. But I've been watching since '89 when I was 8 years old, so it doesn't matter what they do, I'll still watch.

Actually, Johnson just wins when it matters. If you go back and look, most of his Championship seasons, he didn't even win the most races that season.

Don't get me wrong, I like Blaney, but comparing him to a Jimmie Johnson is laughable. No where NEAR each other.

He's a good driver. He dominated what WebFire seems to call "real racing". I actually used to work for his old sprint car owner. He's on a terrible team.

Basically, look at who drives for what team and the results from every race and you'll see that the good teams are good and the bad teams are bad--it's really pretty simple. This guy is having a hissy fit because a rookie won the Daytona 500. Driving for the Wood Brothers, who obviously can't be a good team--it's not like they've ever had any kind of success before. And it was only the kids 2nd race! How could he win Daytona?! Well, I don't know--how could LeBron have been that good his 1st year in the league? Maybe this kid is the real deal. Gotta start somewhere. Or maybe he just ran a great race--which he did.

So RCR is a terrible team? He didn't do anything when he was on that team either.

I don't think voicing his opinion is having a 'hissy fit'. I tend to agree with some of his comments. He's not off base on some things, and some of his arguments are valid points. If we all agreed, this would be a boring ass place. I enjoy debating NASCAR with others that have a differing opinion, and that's all we are doing.

FYI, I was actually glad to see the Wood Brothers car back in victory lane. You probably aren't old enough to remember the last time. I have nothing against the kid.

“Two years ago, I didn’t have a ride. I sat out six months. I raced one Hooters Pro Cup race that year for my dad’s race team. He always brought me up through the Allison Legacy Series and go-karts and then got me to Hooters Pro Cup and I ran for him, and then I drove for DEI. At the end of my season when I was 17, we lost our funding at DEI. That was the frenzy year, so I sat out for six months and waited on something to happen.

“This was two years ago and I met a lady by the name of Danielle Randell Bower, who introduced me to Gary Bechtel and his son, who then went with me to MWR and they formed that partnership there, so I started driving for them and that’s what gave me my spark into NASCAR to show everybody we can do it. Last year, when we made the transition to Roush Fenway, Jack was quick to pick up on us and believe in us and then the Wood Brothers the same thing.

The car is a Roush chassis. Richard Petty is listed as owner because of the loophole in selling teams and owner's pts.
