There was no reason to slam into the other guy like he did. He shouldn't have ever been in that situation. Stewart was getting pushed by his partner.

Have you not been watching how the draft affects these cars now? If Kurt slows down...Tony is spinning him out. Kurt had no choice.

But like I said there was no reason for him to slam into him like that. Other drivers had the same thing happen and the didn't plow into other guys. Some yes but not all. Tony did nothing wrong there. It's called dragging your brake. Like they were all saying. He caused it by losing connection to Smith.

There is no 'dragging the brake' with this track now. He drags the brake...he gets ass ended by Stewart. It's pretty simple. Besides, did you see how much faster he was going? Even if he was able to drag the brake, he wouldn't have slowed down enough. He had no choice. It was either he spin out the guy in front of him, or he gets spun out. He did nothing that no other driver out there would have done in the same position.

I'm cool with that finish. I loved all the radio conversations earlier where he was asking drivers if he wanted him to push them. He was pretty unselfish all day as I never heard a 'someone push me'. After the race his car looked like it just came off the hauler. He seems like a clean driver just having fun racing in the Daytona 500 and just glad to be there.

Good to see The Wood Brothers back in Victory Lane. This coming from a long time Petty fan dating back to the 70's, when they were the enemy.

There is no dragging the brake? Did you not listen to all the experts talking about it.

Stewart pushed Kurt into Smith. Nothing Kurt could do about it. Again, Stewart's fault. Not Kurt's. It's a product of this racing.

And when the experts were talking about 'dragging the brake'...it wasn't in instances like this. You can't drag the brake when there is someone right behind you being pushed. The 'pusher' can't see where they are pushing. You drag the brake...you are going to get slammed into when you are bunched together like that. How hard is that to understand? When they were talking about 'dragging the brake'..they are talking about the guy getting pushed...the front car (Regan Smith)...dragging the brake so the guy that's pushing him doesn't get disconnected. Sooo..I guess you can say it was Smith's fault they became disconnected in the first place. If SMITH would have just 'drug the brake'...Busch wouldn't have become disconnected from him in the first place. ;)

There is no reason he slammed into Smith like he did. Yes he was getting pushed but still was inexcusable.

Oh well it's a long season.

LMAO. It's inexcusable? HE GOT PUSHED INTO HIM. What do you expect him to do?? There is a reason he slammed into Smith like he did. BECAUSE TONY STEWART PUSHED HIM INTO HIM. LOL

When I first saw the contact between Smith and Busch I thought it might have been intentional, due to him not letting Busch pass him when they get out front. After looking at the in car camera and listening to the engine noises, I think the push that JR gave Smoke was just enough of a punch in the back of Busch to slam him into Smith.(how's that for a run on sentence) ;)

After I saw the replays, I was wondering if Jr. set off a chain reaction with the 4 cars that were lined up there, but it's hard to tell.

Maybe...just maybe...if Robbie "the wrecker" Gordon had just 1 clue in his pea-brain head, he wouldn't be such a doucebag. He wrecked 88 in the Shootout, he helped cause the 88-56 wreck during practice because he just had to get in front of their pack, and now he just has to jump back into the fray after he loses control into the infield. He is as hard headed as anyone I've ever seen race, and his list of "knock-outs" reads like War and Peace.

He just needs to be told, "no thanks, Robbie, we've got plenty of drivers".

88 had a top 5 car, contrary to your hatred.

He always runs good at plate races, so of course he was a top 5 machine. I'd expect nothing less, and I assume it's the same with GoChiefs.

Doesn't change the fact that he's average everywhere else, and unlucky to boot.

Contrary to your belief...I don't hate Jr. As a matter of fact, I was pulling for Jr. As a matter of fact, I want to see him contend. The most popular driver in NASCAR not competing week in and week out is bad for the sport. I want to see him turn it around thank you very much. Did I say anywhere that it was Jr's fault???

Robby Gordon is so bad it's pathetic, I tried to bet my friend 5 bucks he fucks something up befor the race is over with only like 20 laps to go. He did not accept... damn
