I will say that Newton is earning every penny that Auburn is paying him.

Hard evidence?

I see Auburn winning now.

i don't get why julio jones returns kicks for alabama? too many flukey things could go wrong to risk your best player getting hurt

ginn was that special kind of return talent (ala a hester or cribbs) who just seem very comfortable in that role. jones doesn't strike me as a natural return threat like he does as a wide receiver...could be because of his immense talents as a technical wide receiver overshadow anything else he does

Alabama got out fast, but they are shitting the bed in the 2nd half.

Wonder if he's got incentives built in for conference/national titles. He got raped if not.

If Gary Danielson is up the SEC's butt any more he'd block their colon.

Fun game to watch - not great football. Many mistakes on both sides. If Boise blows Nevada out of the water tonight, I wouldn't blame a voter moving them ahead of Auburn.

So much for that gimmicky offense not working against a "real defense"

I can certainly understand how Auburn came out and played so well in the second half, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how Alabama looked so dominant in the first half and couldn't do anything in the second half. Auburn's defense is 60th in the country in scoring ad Alabama could only manage a field goal in the second half. Pathetic.

Giving up 28 points is not much against an offense averaging 500+ yards per game, it was Alabama's inefficiencies on offense after the first quarter that cost them the game.

And the gimmick running game didn't get them those points. Passing the ball against a poor secondary is what got them those points.

Auburn wore them down. Frailey (sp) dominated the Alabama Oline in the 2nd half.
