The fact is, he, like the douchebag announcer for the Reds....went out of his way to bash the Cubs, Chicago and/or Wrigley Field. Why? What kind of sportsmanship is that? What kind of person does that?
I actually like the Reds, so I have no (other) reason to hate Votto. If they aren't playing for the Cubs, I cheer them on. I watch almost as many of their games on TV, if not more. I go to more Reds games a year than Cubs games. That's all because of where I am located, but it's the truth. I consider myself a bigger "Reds fan" than most of the people who jumped on ship this season with the playoff run. I've been cheering them on for 13 years (again, when they're not playing the Cubs or the game they're playing in doesn't effect the Cubs in any way).
It seems like 50% of the games the Reds play...someone during the broadcast bashes the Chicago Cubs or their fan base. I'd be embarrassed if that happened during Cubs games. I'm embarrassed as a Cubs fan living in Ohio. Am I jealous of all of that? Most certainly not.
