Don't try to validate the transitive property by adding a fourth variable to the equation. That only makes it less accurate that it already is by adding more variable change. That makes it more complicated than simple.

You must have missed this:
Oregon 38, Purdue 36
Oregon 47, USC 20
Ohio State 15, USC 18
Ohio State 18, Purdue 26

So I guess Oregon should have beaten OSU's ass..but wait
Ohio State 27, Oregon 16

I am an Ohio State fan. You ripped Boise and nobody had said one word about them. How is that any different haha?

Just so we are clear, Va Tech is better than Miami. Miami is either our best win/2nd best win (Penn State as a best win? Yikes). Why are we mocking other team's schedules when went round robin with the MAC?

I'm using Virginia Tech as an example to point out the stupidity of thinking if one teams beats another, they are better than that team. If you believe that James Madison is better than Virginia Tech, good for you.

I think OSU and Stanford are better than LSU

I think Wisconsin can beat anyone right now.

Like I said, I'm a Buckeye fan myself, so I'm not sure where you are getting that I "rip" on them. I'm calling it like I see it. That means I don't sit back and let Buckeye fans preach about other team's schedules when our schedule wasn't even all that impressive

although I'll certainly be rooting for it to happen.

I don't know if Michigan State wins on Saturday either. They're 0-8 all time in Happy Valley.

And I certainly think that LSU is ripe to go down against Arkansas

if MSU loses OSU gets no share of the title

I don't think you guys are right.

All that happens with head to head is the winner of the head to head game would get the BCS berth.

yeah you're right.

I don't find that fair though. The team that Wisky would be "tied" with, they hold a tiebreaker over. So they should be a 1/2 game ahead, therefore the sole winner.

I agree LJ, but that's not the way the B10 sees it. Which is why the adding of a 12th team is a great idea.

There are no tiebreaker rules for determining a B10 Champion. The whole damn conference could be tied and all 11 would get a trophy.

What is interesting is Boise gaining so many points on tcu. A win this week for Boise will make them jump tcu and if auburn loses to bama, Boise jumps into the number 2 spot

^ What I think is interesting is that Boise was passed in the first place. They have the more impressive win than TCU and started ranked #2..nothing TCU has done explains them passing Boise..

Yeah I don't understand how TCU jumped Boise in the first place. Auburn and Oregon I can understand due to the AQ/non AQ stuff, but TCU hasn't done anything that warrants them being ahead of Boise. If Boise takes care of Nevada this week, Boise should be able to move ahead of TCU again.

If Michigan St loses....how can Ohio State make a claim to the Big 10 title

I really don't see TCU being in the top 5 come 2 weeks from now.

Assuming they beat Michigan and Wisconsin beats Northwestern, OSU and Wisconsin will have the same record. That is how OSU will make a claim to the Big Ten title.

Because as I said before there are no tie breakers for deciding a conference champion. Can you not read?

How is it fair that after Wisconsin beats the shit out of Ohio State....Ohio State is allowed to lay claim to the Big 10 title

Tressell and Gene Smith should come out and said "We don't deserve this,so we therefor will not lay any claim to the Big 10 title" But neither one of them have enought integrity to do that as they will let Ohio State back their way into another parital championship

Rules are rules. There is no tiebreaker for conference champion. Only to decide the BCS rep.

How would it have been fair if Florida was able to play for the SEC championship (had they not choked against the Ole Ball Coach and the COCKS) after sucking the big one all year long?

It's a completely different situation...

Florida's conference has divisions, had they won their division, then yes,it would have been fair.

If Wisconsin,Ohio State, and Michigan State all win out...Michigan State should be the out-right Big 10 Champ

If Michigan State loses,Wisconsin should be the out-right Big 10 Champ

I'm sure you think its perfectly fair that Wisky gets a share even though they lost to Sparty.

Seriously? Can you name one other instance in history where a conference did not name all teams with the same record as champion, be that co- or tri- or whatever five teams sharing the title would be? Or one other instance in history where a school demonstrated this "integrity" by de-claiming their championship because they lost to a co-champ?

You can't have anything outright when there are teams that are tied. Get over it. It all changes next year.
