I don't know that I have anything I'd listen to that I'm embarrassed about, as at the least, it's fun to share a laugh over it. That and the fact that a large amount of my listening material tends to be European death/black metal, so by nature, I'm pretty far away from normal in my tastes.
I'd say, for the purpose of this thread, the two things that I'd consider most off-kilter are:
1. A lot of that 80s pop one-hit-wonder stuff. "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves; "99 Red Balloons" by whoever.
2. Philip Glass. Particularly Einstein on the Beach. A friend of mine in college was a music major who particularly looked at Glass as an influence, so we listened to it and smoked weed a lot. There's something bizarrely catchy about it in a deranged way.
