There were only 4 shots in the first, you are correct.

When it comes to head trauma (especially when it takes someone out of action for an extended time), no one knows exactly how a person will be affected down the road. He could come back as good as before and give the team a huge boost towards a great postseason or he could come back and be tentative and less effective. No one will know until it happens.

I highly doubt that Sid will come back tentative at the first sign of contact......it's not in his DNA.

Pens win 1-0 in a shoot out, James neal with the only goal. The first two periods of this game sucked but the third and OT periods were pretty exciting. Fleury matched Brodeur save for save and the Pens had the bulk of the play. Neal is going to break out here soon, you can just feel it, dude's a fucking beast.

BTW, Fleury has recorded a shut out on March 25th four years in a row.

Pens like to make it difficult with the OT's lately, but they keep winning. Probably not enough to pass Philly but at least keeping good momentum going into the playoffs.

Pens clinch a playoff spot. The Flyers come to town Tuesday night, the Pens need to win out right and take both points of they want any chance of catching the Flyers.

I can believe that, he's looked very sharp in his workouts and seems to be skating with a purpose.

Pittsburgh radio is all over Crosby's return today. The reports are Sid will try to get two or three regular season games under his belt before the playoffs.

I was listening to Mark Madden on The X driving home today and he was livid about this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEAoCANIdGs

Todd Bertuzzi blatantly elbows Ryan Johnson, there's no debating it, it was intentional! Bertuzzi received a major and a game misconduct for this hit BUT, the NHL did not and will not suspend him.........one of the BIGGEST repeat offenders in the game! As Madden said about the Matt Cooke incident, the NHL went overboard on their suspension and did it purposely to undermine Mario Lemiuex, what happened last night proves it. Watch that video clip, he clearly leads with his elbow right at Johnson's head, there's no question that this hit is ten times worse than what Cooke did coming from a guy who ended another man's career for on one of the most vicious sucker punches ever. The NHL and Colin "the dick" Campbell are pure hypocrites!

Good period by the Pens except for the shitty goal the Flyers scored. Sweet two on one move and shot by Kovalev to get the goal.

That was a shitty loss. Pittsburgh out played the Flyers yet again and have nothing to show for it......how many wide open nets can this team miss on a nightly basis? Eventually, the goal flood gate has to open, they get great chances and can't cash in.

Thursday night's game in Tampa is now a huge one. Need to get two points in that game to secure home ice for the first round of the playoffs.
