I don't understand how any so-called "fan" of hockey, regardless of they root for, can hate on Mario Lemieux. He is the fucking man.

Says the guy who roots for a team who employs Lucic and newly annoited THUG Chara!

Crosby was scheduled to skate again today, no one knows if he did or not but this is great news. Sid had no concussion symptoms after yesterday's light work out.

He's a jealous Pittsburgh hater. Throw in the fact that the Bruins haven't won shit in 39 years, you can see why he acts like that. If Lemieux had played in Boston or if they had Sid, he'd be singing a totally different tune.

Pens roll again 5-1. This team is 15 and 10 with all the injuries it has had.

Yeah nice win tonight, they took care of business two games in a row against shitty teams who have no chance of making the playoffs. That's how they need to play against that caliber of competition.

BTW, Sidney Crosby did skate and have a light workout today. This is a very good sign!!!

Kennedy has been fantastic as of late and Michalek isn't afraid to shoot the puck now which is a good sign.

Man, that much talked-about utter demise of the team due to injuries and such still hasn't happened? In fact, they really haven't even lost any real amount of ground on Philly! HOW CAN THIS BE?!?!?!?!???

Not saying they'll win the championship this year, but they've been in the hunt (if not winning it) the last few years. Championship-caliber teams don't immediately fold under adversity. If they go down, they get carried out on their collective shield.

Pittsburgh hosts the NY Rangers today at 12:30. This is the start of another brutal stretch of 5 games in 7 days with the Red Wings and Flyers sandwiched in there.

Pens lose 5-2. Some very questionable officiating on the tying goal by the Rangers in the third period.

I know the Pens signed Cooke to an extension last year, but it's time to cut him loose. His dumb-ass penalty today helped cost the Pens the game. Despite all the publicity about head shots out there, he goes ahead and does that stupid penalty (which calls for a suspension IMO). He gives the team a black eye. That being said, he's also the type of guy that any organization wants on their team, but I'm tired of the negative publicity he generates and his costing the team wins with dumb-ass penalties.

If I had to guess, with his "prior convictions", I'd say 8-10 game suspension.

I can't defend Cooke in this instance, he delivered the elbow directly to the jaw (wish it was RawDawgs jaw).

Cooke has to understand that his team is making the initial effort to do something about head shots in the league and while this wasn't one of his more vicious hits you can't be stupid and go anywhere near the head, especially if you're a targeted guy like Cooke is. He'll probably get 10 games for this and it's a shame because Cooke is a pretty good player.

A few times I've seen Cooke make a hit out of the heat of the moment and the penalty was excusable. Not this time.

Does he think the refs are gonna fucking miss that?

1. He's Matt Cooke and they are looking for him to do that anyway.
2. It its an elbow to the chin plain as fucking day!

I like him as a player, but yeah....what a dumbass. Pittsburgh big wigs need to step in and talk some sense into him. I can defend hard play and hits, but not shit that is the result of being a careless idiot.

I say he gets 7 or 8 games. If he gets 10+ I will be very pissed b/c Gillies did something much worse than just an elbow.

The NHL suspended Cooke for the rest of the regular season through the 1st round of the playoffs.
