Im reading where he is visiting LSU and is high on them. What happened to him at OSU? Grade problems, little playing time? And do you guys think he will amount to anything wherever he goes?

Also former UGA QB Zach Mettenberger will probably commit to LSU. Hopefully these JUCO's can amount to 25% of the player Newton is but without the price ;).

I thought it was discussed(on here) that if he straightened his grades up, Tress would welcome him back to the program??

I just did a search, and found this topic from Sept.

I never opened it up since it was a OSU topic, but now Im interested since he might come to LSU. I liked his dad alot when he was a viking.

His issues were grades if I remember, even not attending classes. I can't think Chris was anything but uber pissed. I thought if he got his grades back in line he was to be welcomed back with open arms too. Apparently his interest in LSU means those grades haven't come up.

Cris was really upset. His grades and attendance were indeed the issue. Maybe he just doesn't want to follow in dad's footsteps and wants to go somewhere else possibly?

So he is actually thinking about going to LSU hmm... When was the last time LSU produced any kind of NFL wide receiver talent? (I'm being serious, I can't think of anybody)

dwayne bowe, early doucet, josh reed, devery henderson, michael clayton, demetrius byrd.

most likely brandon lafell and terrance tolliver to be added next year, and russell shepard and reuben randle the year after that.

Dwayne Bowe is tearing it up for Kansas City. Devery Henderson played pretty will for New Orleans last year.

I remember Chris Carter saying that Duron didn't actually grow up as a Buckeye fan but was more of a Michigan fan, but that when he visited OSU he fell in love and I believe chose them over Miami and Michigan. With Sanzenbacker and Saine being a seniors, the fact that we still have barely used the tight ends or full back in the passing game, and since underclassmen like Washington haven't really stepped up in the passing game we really could use him at OSU.

Thanks for answering this before I got logged on, lol. I dont know what you mean by brandon lafell though, unless you are just saying he isnt doing a whole lot this year with the Panthers.....or if you are saying he's not in the NFL yet. He has 20 catches this year so far as a rookie.

Craig Davis also is a WR from LSU

I'd like to see a link to his. EVERYTHING I have ever read about Duron, and it was quoted...is that he is all Buckeye. His dad has said as much. Said once he had things taken care of, he was heading back to Columbus. And why he would be interested in LSU with their QB situation is beyond me.

I dont have links, but there is alot of talk on the LSU site. And Duron has a few years in college, so Im sure LSU will have a QB next year or the year after. Probably next year with Zach M. He (Duron) is suppose to make a visit soon.

Yeah forgot about Bowe, Doucet is okay, and the others are just meh. I like Bowe a lot though. Henderson has shown flashes but he isn't very consistent

Wow. Dumb comment. LSU is arguable wide receiver U. Dwayne Bowe, Devery Henderson, Early Doucet, Craig (Buster) Davis, Michael Clayton, Josh Reed, Demetrius Byrd, and Brandon Lafell

Agreed, Bowe is certainly the standout, but I'd refer to it more as mediocre WR U.

OSU's WRs in the NFL aren't much worse - Holmes, Galloway, Ginn, Gonzo, Hartline, Robiskie, Jenkins.

If we had a fantasy draft, I would go Dwayne Bowe, Santonio Holmes, Brian Hartline, Mike Jenkins, Early Doucet, and then Ted Ginn

Not a fan of the pissing contest but since we seem doomed to be heading there I will point this out.

The reason the osu guys seem more appealing has a lot to do with manning, Ryan, roethlisberger, and Sanchez.
