Didn't see that one coming. I did notice Teays still didn't have Smoot, Moorhart sp?, and Brown was in street close. Still, props to Canal.
Canal w/ one loss to Amanda. Teays w/ one loss to Canal. Circleville w/one loss to Canal. Teays and Circleville still to wrestle Saturday.

Saturday morning!!
LE-TV @ CV
This match will decide who is in and who is on the outside looking in!!
This is also a huge day for all childhood cancer survivors!
PIN CHILDHOOD CANCER DAY. We will be selling shirts and CV will be introducing their new singlets and the crowd should be huge! CGTV5 will also be on location!

Question.....every sport in the Mid-State League has different tie-breaker criteria for deciding its league champs. How is it done in the MSL Buckeye? If.....and I'm saying if, CW defeats Fairfield Union on Saturday, the Indians will clinch at least a share of the title. The AC/CV winner will also finish with 1 loss. In that scenario, will there be co-champs..... CW & TV/CV winner......OR .....will CW win the title with head-to-head victories over both TV and CV?

It will be co-champs, CW if they beat FU and they are favorite and the TV/CV winner.

mmmm Tipton is the leader right now for 160. Otero wrestled at 152 for some of the league so if Tipton wins out his record at 160 will be 7-0 and Otero's will be 6-0.

It was a 40 minute dual, Braves came out on top and I think it was 55-30. Ankrom got stuck wrestling our first year JV wrestler who is also an exchange student.. didn't end up well.Dad4Sports;674018 wrote:Who won? Any results? Thanks......

119 Laux was pinned by Hoffman......Emmons is 3-0 at 119 with tomorrow's match at FU to go. Morehart's record before he was injured was 3-0? If he doesn't wrestle at least 1 match tomorrow in their tri he won't have wrestled the minimum 4 matches to qualifyCoach Hennosy;674090 wrote:Leaders for Individual Champions

Not necessarily true. It will come down to a vote by the coaches. I predict there will be some very heated discussion and some very unhappy kids and coaches at the end of the year meeting.

I give up on 119. The list is of UNDEFEATED wrestlers ... Emmons lost at 125.Dad4Sports;674272 wrote:119 Laux was pinned by Hoffman......Emmons is 3-0 at 119 with tomorrow's match at FU to go. I'm not sure about the minimum matches. It used to matter ... don't know if it still does. Everything is a coaches vote, so a "popular" 6-2 kid could be league champ ... or an "unpopular" undefeated kid could get left out.

So I thought you were strictly looking for undefeated kids by weight only. Like you, I'm not sure what the rules are any more for this?
Should be interesting though

This year has been affected by injuries to the title contenders more than any I can remember..
Just my opinion and not meant to be inflammatory but if all teams are healthy then TV wins the league again and they can still tie for it anyway..
I disagree that if Smoot is healthy that 125 is a guarenteed 6 for CW..Hutchins is good and it could have been 6 but no guarentees..
Another poster was quick to point out that CW was without 3 starters so I'll inform of the lineup for the Vikings..
TV had 6 freshman in the lineup and lost a 7 pt dual vs. a good CW team..
I also wanted to say that most of the TV fans are respectful to all other teams and we do not feel or act the way USMCdevil does..He is an idiot..
The TVWest middle school team also wrapped up the league title last night..Congrats to them..
I think TVEast might have finished in a tie for 2nd and with the high school lineup young for the Vikings as well coach Nace is poised to keep the ball rolling..
Good luck on Sat. to everyone and good luck in the postseason as well..
