I got an idea. Why not just slip a 5 hour energy into the new formula after you buy it. Problem solved for everyone.

What is the point of a downer and upper in the same drink?

Ok first off, it doesn't really bother me that smoking was banned in Ohio (except to ban it in bars is sorta stupid) because that's what the people voted for. They exercised their right to do so. That wasn't an option for the people in Wa. because their government jumped before anybody had a chance to do so. (my first post - prohibition)
Secondly, it really started off as a joke, and I can see how some of you don't recognize when I'm joking, because there's not alot of interaction with me on this forum. But, since it wasn't recognized, and another debate sprang up from it, I answered what I thought about the points brought up. 'tis ok.
Both situations (ohio and washington) also can bring up another facet in the face of the question of what we can consider private or public property.
Maybe what Washinton should have done was tax the Four Loko beverage into oblivion, like how was done with cigarettes. If somebody still wanted to buy it/consume it, they still could. That way, the consumer could enjoy the benefit of drinking whatever the hell they wanted to, and government could use the taxes to help pay for something else.
But, since Washington is in many ways a sister state to California, nothing like that will probably happen.

Four Loco is removing the Caffeine from their product, so game on, I guess. The stuff still looks disgusting.

Guess I'm not informed about these products. Why does removing the caffeine make a difference?

The caffeine apparently masks the alcohol so you don't feel drunk and you keep drinking to oblivion. Just what I've heard.

Which leads me to my earlier question of why you would want a drink with an upper and downer? What is the point of the alcohol if you aren't feeling the effects?

You feel the effects. It's just you don't get tired nearly as quickly and can continue to function longer. And then you black out.

The caffeine wears off way before the alcohol does. So if you were drinking even more after the Four Loko, then the caffeine wears off, the drunkeness will hit you like a brick wall before you even know what hit you.

So will the bans continue to be in effect for the new product? I'm guessing not?

I think that Four Loko is a bad drink that people should avoid.
I also think that as long as it displays a proper warning label they should be able to sell it.

Pants, whats your thoughts on Absinthe?
Personally, people will do other things and get theirselves the same result, so I think it's kinda stupid to ban a drink.

I once ate Chipotle, had two Four Lokos....and then the next thing I remember is waking up next to my Chipotle.
