Obviously there are a ton of needs in Cleveland but I am tired of wasting money on QBs. My first pick would be this fella if he comes out early...

#25, Rolando McLain, LB, University of Alabama.

He's somebody a defense can be built around @ 6'4", 258 lbs and is a playmaker.

With it being the Browns, you know they will be leaning towards a QB, whether it be Mccoy or Clausen if he comes out early.

I do agree that the Browns should take a stud defensive player though.

If the Browns take another Notre Dame quarterback, EVEN IF THAT QB BECOMES THE GREATEST QB IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL, I would never support them again.

Who ever they pick needs to be an immediate impact player. QB's take too long to develop. Quinn is servicable if they can put some pieces around him in the off-season. They should go defense in the early rounds. Best player at any defensive position.

Eric Berry... a lock down corner or someone to play the right side of the line. Hate to sound like a broken record but browns could trade down from where they are heading to get what they need.

If they're for sure going with a QB, it's between
Bradford
Locker
Clausen

If they're simply looking for the best player available, it's probably between.
Suh
Berry
Dunlap

Some players that fill needs, but are probably reaches at a top 3 slot
McClain
Spiller

Isn't Mallet from Arkansas gonna be a top 3 QB in the draft? I Haven't seen any mock drafts, but I always thought he would be one of the first QBs taken.

E. Berry
N. Suh
C. Dunlap
B. Spikes
R. McClain

Those 5 I would love to have with the top 3 pick the Browns will get. I would LOVE for them to trade down (but not to freaking 20!!!) and get whichever one of those is still available while adding another pick.

If they trade down past the top 10 I wouldnt mind a flyer on CJ Spiller (re-united with James Davis). But I REALLY want an impact defensive player on this team and RBs always fall in the draft (AP to 7, Beanie to 29, McCoy fell last year, etc. etc. etc) so Spiller is probably a bad pick.

I wouldnt mind a reach at the QB spot in the 2nd or third round. ONE of the QBs will fall to round 2, just not sure who (Clausen, Locker, McCoy, Bradford, Tebow, etc). But do NOT take one in round 1. I think Dan LeFevour or Central Mich would be a solid pick in the middle rounds as well.

He could be, but I doubt hed come out this year after just a single year of real D-1 football. He was not really allowed to explore his talents at UofM as a Frosh and then transfered.

Give me Eric Berry.

This defense needs a hard nosed play maker and somebody who can strike fear into an opposing offense.

In fact, I'd use my first 2 picks on defense.

The Browns need to build a defense and a running game before they draft a QB. Would love to have Berry or McLain.

I would take Tim Tebow in the later rounds. His attitude and the way he approaches the game could work wonders in Cleveland.

I can't stand Quinn and think he's awful, but after being at the game yesterday, I feel even moreso than before that his WR's are AWFUL!

With that said, they need to utilize the #1 pick with someone who will help immediately and I think that's Berry or Suh.

I do think they need to draft a QB though since it's such a deep draft and the Browns have so many picks. I think you can pick up a very good QB in the 2nd to 3rd round. How many teams are going to take a QB in the 1st round compared to how many quality QB's will be in this draft. Even if 3 go in the 1st, the Browns could still get a quality QB in the second round.

And I agree with Tebow. First off, he could put a face on the franchise. Secondly, they might be able to get him in the 3rd round and use him in a variety of ways.

I'd go with Berry as their first selection and try to get Norwood with an early second.

With the #1 pick and the situation in Cleveland, you may have something similar happen like last years draft just not as drastic.

Does anyone think Berry or McClain are #1 money? What low level teams will be looking for franchise QB's? Rams, Panthers, Redskins, and Oakland once again are at the bottom of their divisions with crappy QB play. You could even add the Bucs but they drafted Freeman last season.

Cleveland cannot afford to take a QB with the #1 pick again. They must build the defense. Trade the #1 pick down inside the Top 10 and pick up another pick, then select Berry or McClain while not paying them #1 pick money.

The first two selections of the draft must be defense. If the Browns go Berry then they must look at a LB, if they go with McClain then look at getting the best S or CB left on the board.

Problem is, no team wants to pay #1 pick money to anyone. I think it will be near impossible for the Browns to trade down.

I think the Browns need:

LB
S
CB
RB
RT
RG

In that order.
