Well, you don't play the ball off the line of scrimmage, you play the WR. Obviously he "could" have gotten the ball...but he was doing what he should have done.

Big difference between normal contact and what he did. And trust me, I hate the pansy rules too. But that was the right call.

I know... I guess I was just amazed at how late the call came... I mean, the dude waited until people were going back to the huddle to drop the flag... that's happened a lot today
