My first weekend off in over a month, and I get sick for the first time in several years. FML. What medications does everyone use while they are under the weather?

Right now I am on the following:

Nyquill
Tylenol
Captain Morgans

Any other suggestions?

I take Zicam when I feel a cold comin' on. Best cold medicine I ever taken. I don't remember ever havin' the flu, so I have no idea what you even take for that.

Meds for colds/the flu is kind of a waste. Your body just needs time to fight off the virus, and meds can't help that. Just get plenty of rest and fluids.

Vitamins are really your best bet. Vitamin C and Zinc boost the immune system. I started takin' them a couple years ago, and have never had a cold last more than 2-3 days since.

I know this to be true, but there is nothing like Nyquill to help you sleep at night.

I used to take Zicam as well. Worked great. Then there was a recall, because apparently it fucked with people's taste buds. Ever since that recall I haven't touched it.

Other than that, nothing. Obviously water helps your body flush out as well, so it's important to keep the fluids down.
