Erick Howard is a fine football player, although I only saw him against Boardman and he was pretty much shut-down in that game. My nod goes to Braylon Heard from Mooney. Honestly, and again, no knock to Mr. Howard, but he would not start in front of Heard at Mooney.

I feel Braylon Heard is deserving of the honor but since they platoon at running back he doesn't have the yardage some did. If he was the only back his statistics would be amazing.

Maybe its just cause I didnt follow the fed league much this year, but Howard just didnt seem to have the season he had last year. Heard is a good possibility, Dwight Macon is going to get some votes just cause he's from Steubenville. Mark Meyers for the same reason, just being QB at Ignatius and I believe the voting was done at the end of the regualr season before the playoffs began.

And since everyone is bringing up OSU and WVU, Pryor has A LONG way to go to match Pat White.

Having watched both Heard and Howard, my vote goes to Heard. His decision for next year doesn't have anything to do with his performance this year.

Jake Trubiano from Hilliard Davidson,,he shouldered the load at RB when Delande and Butler went down to injury for several games while also playing starting at QB before and after that time.now he has his team in the state D-1 finals this coming weekend, not to mention playing some DB when he had to as well.

Howard.... he became Stark County's career rushing yards leader. That in itself deserves it.

^ I was wondering the same thing... let alone the other 7 Running Backs OSU has on scholarship next year.

Saine
Boom
Martin
Rod Smith
Berry
Hyde
Hall

Mr. Football is usually all about stats and wins. Howard has the stats, I think there may be someone other than Howard or Heard that will win this year.

I wasnt hating on Colleros or BR. There was a post right before mine saying there was no comparison between the two. It has been taken down, therefore I deleted mine. Sorry, wasnt simply hatin.
Id vote for Heard.

Heard has been great all year, no doubt, but i think Jones has been more important to his team. There have been games where he has carried 30+ times.

www.maxpreps.com...................type in Ohio, then football and you can get the state leaders in most offensive categories. After doing this, I am not as sure of Heard winning. He had a great game, which we all remember vs Big Red. There are several big school guys with more yards, more yards per carry and more TD's.

Uhhh, how many of those other guys share carries with 5 or 6 other guys on the team?

Amazing, Heard only got 36% of Mooney's carries this year.

Impressive yes..but I don't think they take into consideration the shared workload when they vote for Mr. Football.
