I think you had better worry about filling the vacancy in Hertlers Basement....er, I mean, in Hoovers backfield.

Hows that DREAM Project coming along? Did Mr. David find the "other" school in Stark Co. yet? His words, If they arent going to be receptive to this foundations educational wishes, maybe we can find a different school in Stark Co. that will.

You show alot of interest in Massillon, seeing as how you live way out in the sticks.

Was just a question. Have they ironed out their differences? More and more it is seeming your Superintendant might not be the right fit?

Sounds like a big loss for Massillon this year:

Alex Wood, a Massillon native and one-time offensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals, returned to the Tigers last fall to run the offense for Hall. Wood apparently has left Massillon to become the wide-receivers coach at Miami University.

But there has been no official announcement by Miami, and Wood is not listed among the assistant coaches on Mike Haywood’s staff.

Massillon tried to keep Wood on its staff but could not find a job for him beyond a coaching stipend.

Anytime you lose a guy with his knowledge and experience it's a big loss, but the offensive coordinator in 2010 will be a capable one.

Porter is only about a month late in reporting this news.

How about Dover?? Maybe he would stretch it to Tusc. County. Things WILL get ironed out. DREAM WILL be a reality at MCS. :)

With Wood leaving that makes a total of three assistant coaches Coach Hall will be losing. Coach Marshall (no brainer) and Coach Knapp won't be back either. Coach Knapp lives and teaches in Wadsworth and his wife is expecting their 5th child. He needs to help at home. With the fifth child on the way...it is obvious what he does with his spare time. :P

I hope this BOE and the Super can work together to come up with a solution. The old BOE backed out on more promises than a politician...after they take office.

Some updates:

Spider Miller, (former Canton McKinley Assistant and Head Coach and Massillon Perry Head Coach) will most likely be Massillons DB coach next season.

Add Nebraska to the list of teams that have offered Devin Smith.
Olack's biggest offer right now, amongst alot of MAC schools, is Indiana....but expect that number to rise, and expect to quality of programs, (football wise), offering to rise also.

Massillon has filled the week #6 spot on their schedule with Brantford Ontario, week #9 remains open, and remains a tough spot to fill, with league play for most teams filling that spot on their schedules.

Massillon has filled their scrimmage schedule with a couple of fairly fresh faces.
#1 Lakewood St. Edward
#2 Lexington & Canal Fulton Northwest
#3 Strongsville

More updates

Massillon and GlenOak are in the process of possibly extending their home and home contract. GlenOak traveled to Massillon this past year, and Massillon will go there this year. Hopefully they get this thing done and we play for many more years.

GlenOak Head Coach, Scott Garcia told Todd Porter that the Massillon @ GlenOak game in 2010, will be live on FSN. That is a Thursday night game, on September 2nd.
