No guns, no knifes, no bows

Last nigh the wife and I when to Toys R Us to pick up some addition gifts for my two grandsons.
Two boys one 2 ½ and the other 3 ½ very active, rugged kids. There’s no crying in the Belly Family.

The wife is looking at some stuff my daughters suggest to look at…Thomas the Train crap and CARS stuff ..ok great, that’s nice big whoop….

I wonder off to look for some real boy stuff …. Toy Cowboy Rifles and Pistols six shooter, M16 and Long Rifle , Rubber Knifes, hell I would even settle for a Bow and Arrow set that looked like a bow and arrow set…nothing ,,,jack shit to be found
Nerf Guns shit (kinda cool) but just not the real type stuff I was looking for.

Them it hit me we don’t have gun packing, pistol shooting, knife wheeling heroes….
Rifleman, Roy Roger, Gun Smoke, Combat, Daniel Boone …heroes anymore

…………..BRING BACK TV WESTERNS………….and ... COMBAT SHOWS.....

Hell I would even venture to say kids now days can even make a good machine gun sound..... Can you?

What the hell is this world coming to …. ??
If you can’t play cowboys and war games with violence, fake shooting
( I was the best at dying, I could really act out being shot…I was so good even my own guys would pretend to shot me) how in the hell are you going to live in a world of violence and not understand how wrong violence is.. and or how to react when presented with violence???

Tonight I’m going to make my boys some really cool weapon out of wood and pipe, and I’m going online and look for so white handle cap gun six shoots …. and holster

Anyone know a store that sell toy guns, pistols and knifes ..Oh my

Is the art of playing War, Cowboy and Indians (Illegal Mexicans) political correct other bad Cowboys is gone???

my dad got me a real bow for christmas when i was 10. took it away 12/27 because i was shooting it straight up in the air, then running under the porch and watching it land. put one through the roof of the house.

I'm pretty sure walmart has all that stuff. They have some nerf swords that I always want to play with. :)

Hmm, maybe it has something to do with the fact that there have been too many irresponsible parents recently who leave their loaded guns laying around and their kids pick them up think they are just like their toy guns and end up shooting someone else of themselves.

Red Ryder makes a great BB gun but be careful you might shoot your eye out.

You are right, there are no kids shows like that anymore. However, my 7 year old will watch anything military. He watches the real shows. Military channel, discovery shows, R. Lee Ermey, even loves WWII stuff like WWII HD.

Trust me, there are plenty of toy guns out there. It's all he wants.
