Turkey. I know for holidays like Christmas and Easter, there's been a handful of different meats served as the main course, but I can't remember one time where Thanksgiving had deviation from turkey.

If I had a nickel for every time you talked about having a handful of different meats...

Prime Rib - a 14-lb dry-aged slab is on order from Carfagna's

It's my daughter's last holiday with us before she gets married - and that's what she wanted.

At work every year we get a coupon for either a free turkey or a free ham from Beuhler's fresh market. I always figure someone else will fix the turkey, so I ALWAYS get the ham. Plus, leftover ham is much better than leftover turkey!

Leftover turkey sandwich with some mashed potatoes and lots of cranberry sauce on it is incredible.

I prefer ham over turkey any day. However, as of late, I've not had the urge for the normal Thanksgiving dinner. Last year, I went to Jack in the Box while my wife was cooking the dinner.

Leftover turkey sandwich .

This.... We will actually roast a turkey a couple of times of year just to make sandwiches. I still can't get used to Lady D'Friskies' habit of putting 1000 Island dressing on 'em, though...

my wife and her family make something they call "turkey croquettes" I think...the leftover turkey, mixed with mashed potatoes, dressing, and they fry it in a pan.......it's okay I guess....
........just give me good old dry leftover turkey white meat and an old roll with a lot of butter...that's a pretty good 2nd or 3rd day sandwich.

Not a fan of turkey sammiches (I only like thinly sliced deli turkey) but I will warm up leftovers on a plate. Much better than leftover ham IMO.

It's a law isn't it? Thanksgiving must include turkey - or you go to jail, right? We used to do ham for Christmas, but the past couple of years we've done Prime Rib and it's freaking amazing! Yum!

prime rib? in this economic climate? Are you a republican (pay cash) or a democrat (fuck it. i'll enjoy this now, someone else will pay for it later).
