Are you going to bring the tiger to Steubenville? I hope so, because I am flying in from Seattle to see that game. My suggestion is that you put him on the practice field. Everybody who parks in Kroger's parking lot (and that's just about everybody) has to pass the field. Let me know what you are going to do.

They didnt bring baby obie to the game in 09 .. they were afraid the horse would hurt him .. Id like to see the cat .. i remember them bringing the tiger cub back in the 70's when i was a kid .. They had raw meat in the cage , it was cool . Back then they parked the cage on the home side .. Big Red used to line the field on the opposite sideline back in the 70s . It was different back then ..

I had a weird experience with that tiger about 35 years ago. I was the announcer for the Big Red Band. Instead of putting me in the press box so I could do my halftime show announcements, they gave me a microphone and had me stand on the 30 yard line. This in itself would have been no problem except that the tiger was on the 25 yard line. The whole time I was announcing, he never stopped growling at me and he looked at me very hungrily. I had visions that he would break out of his cage and eat me in front of 17,000 people. I was very glad to get my cute little butt out of there when the halftime was over.

This makes me glad they let me in the press box to announce for the band haha

Who says this about their own butt? Lol.
I have actually been injured by Obie. My buddy is one of his handlers, and had the afternoon shift with him, I would ocassionally go down with him and take my kids and play with him. One day while playing, he caught my hand in his mouth and tore off a couple layers of skin. You can really feel the power even when they're THAT young. At the time, I would say he was only about the size of a young German Shepard, but his paws were already about the size of a music CD.
