Licking Valley beat East Liverpool 29-3 and Marlington topped Minerva 21-7 in round 1. Who advances to the regional finals?

I am thinking about making the trip up for this game. I'll be going to Cleveland for the Jets game on Sunday so I might as well check this game out as well.

It seems like the park holds a decent amount of cars, it's just horrendous getting in/out of there. When we played Steubenville there last year we filled the thing to the hilt.

True...the parking and exiting are bad but the stadium is great. With the new field turf Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium is a very nice high school football venue.

Oh yeah, they have spent a lot of money on the turf and it is a great place to watch a game. Once the park fills up, the sketchy street parking is quite a walk and it is hell getting out of the park.

Park over the hill from the stadium in the neighborhood north of Wabash. Park with your car facing downhill and when you leave drive downhill and take a right on 3rd to get out. Just a little walk but it gets you out of the traffic congestion.

WooDy Hayes Quaker StaDium is very nice.

...and BTW, did you know WE OWN THAT PLACE!!!!!

When I've gone to Quaker Stadium for big games (ie the Dover-Phila game) I have always parked on the street because it takes forever to get out of the park afterwards. If you are staying around there Saturday night, I would recommend going to Gavins to grab something to eat after the game, then walking across the street to the Brewhouse for a pint or 2. The Brewhouse has good food, but the grill closes early so you could go there before hand. Or come into Dover and check out the talent at Morans Nite Life.

After catching some of the Marlington/Minerva game on replay, I wouldn't be surprised to see Licking Valley pull this one off.

I will more than likely be at Gavins for a few then the Brewhouse for several more....as I do most Saturday nights.

If Marlington can't pass the football they won't win this game, IMO. Licking Valley is too well coached and battle tested to get beat by a one dimensional football team.

How long is the trip from New Philly to Cleveland? That may dictate if I stay in New Philly or if I drive up to Cleveland on Saturday night.

Parking @ Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School on third street NE is also a pretty good place... just a fairly short walk.

Approximately an hour and a half to get to the stadium.

Marlington will win this game! Don't be fooled by the way they played against a very good Minerva team. I think this will be by far the best opponent Licking Valley has played all year.

#18 Marlington (11-0) by 21 (93%) vs Licking Valley (9-2)

LOL ... It should be a whale of a ball game. Alden Hill for Marlington will give you LV fans flashbacks of Mr Klein. And Dymonte Thomas, well no one will catch him if he gets loose.

New Albany may have made an early exit from the post season, but they are much better in my opinion. Plus, the LV team in week 12 is probably twice as good as the one from week 1.

There are a lot of great places to eat in both Dover and Phila, you will be welcomed wherever you go this weekend. Print an Ariel map on map quest and park on a side street to avoid the post game Tuscora Park parking fiasco.

(Gavins is a fine place to eat, but it's always taken an absurdly long time to get my food there)

Gavins and the Brewhouse are both very slow to get the food out. Honestly, I think the Brewhouse has the better food....not to mention I know some disgusting things about Gavins...I don't even like to go in there anymore.
