Just got home from this one. Pretty disappointing

Defense played well considering how much time they spent on the field
Eric Wright needs to go, he is by far the weakest link on the Browns defense.....the last play was pathetic
Shaun Rogers is dominant when he wants to be
Browns really need to get Colt some weapons
Colts the real deal
Stuckey needs to protect the ball, I cant fault the guy for trying to make a play but he needs to understand the situation and cover it up
The stadium was rocking, that might be the loudest that I have heard it in there

Speaking of Colt needing more weapons....I wonder why we haven't seen more of Carlton Mitchell. He has great size and good speed. You'd think, with the lack of playmakers at the WR position, they would get him some playing time. I've only seen him in one game this year.

I would like to see them go after Vincent Jakcson in the offseason
I wouldnt complain about AJ Green though

Get Vincent Jackson, then draft AJ Green.

V-Jax, Green, and Massaquoi.

Sounds legit.

Might be a good idea. Haden played well today when Brown went down.

Yea, I'm not willing to give up on Wright until our front 7 can get some pressure. Fortunately, it looks like Haden has star potential.

It isnt like he is confused by the NFL. He is just a bitch who hates contact. Even if he cant cover, he refuses to tackle. A lack of effort cant be taught or learned.

I was wondering if someone would comment on that. For the most part, when someone does exceptionally, I don't get too high, and I don't get too low when someone does poorly.

Players will have good games, and they will have bad games. Sometimes even good and bad years. People on here tend to be too extreme with their opinions, and I try to balance it out. So in other words, I defend the guys who deserve to be criticized, and criticize the guys who deserve to be praised.

I will say this with Wright. Based on his play this year, yes, he should be replaced. But I refuse to look at just one piece of the entire puzzle. He has been very good in his other years, and I believe he can, and likely will go back to being that guy. I don't buy that he's all of a sudden a worse player. He's just having a bad year. It happens with corners quite often. Darrelle Revis, Nnamdi Asomugha and Brandon Flowers are the only guys who have avoided it. Even Charles Woodson is struggling after being DPOY last year.

Also, we don't know what play is called when Wright has gotten beat a few times. We have a rookie at safety. Many times in the NFL, the guy who appears to have been toasted, wasn't actually at fault. I don't know if that is the case with what has happened to Wright a few times, but I can't rule it out. I have no doubt that Ward has blown a few coverages this year, and that may have made our corners look worse. Just something to think about.

Just a couple thoughts on this game.

I thought Colt performed pretty well. We are in desperate need of a #1 WR. I don't care how they do it, whether it be draft, free agency, or trade, just get it done.

Players need to be more aware of the situation. You can't really blame the loss on Stuckey, but if he gets down or goes out of bounds there, we are in perfect position for a field goal well within Dawson's range. He had already got the first down, no need to fight for extra yardage. Live to play another down.

I've had enough of Eric Wright. The dude just simply isn't getting it done. Like several others have mentioned, not only has he struggled in coverage much of the year, he refuses to tackle anybody. There were multiple times where a WR or RB would simply run by, and he'd basically just kind of stand there while other Browns players made the tackle. I'm not sure who said it, but I remember a couple games ago they were talking about Wright's struggles, and that he had even admitted his head just wasn't in it a lot of the time. If you can't focus on your job, then sit on the bench and let somebody play who can.

Neither team played that great, but the Jets did the little things that helped them win the game. Cotchery's catch and the Sanchez's escape from Shaun Rogers come to mind. If Cleveland can just starting making the plays that seem to just slip out of their grasp, they'll be much better.

Overall, while i'm disappointed with the loss, i'm optimistic about just how could this team could be. I'm not sure any of us expected to come out of 4 straight games against the Steelers, Saints, Patriots, and Jets with a 2-2 record, especially starting a rookie QB. This team has potential, I just hope they continue in the right direction.

Green, V-Jax, and MoMass would be amazing.. Hell, Julio Jones could replace AJ Green and I'd still be happy.

We need to get a pass rusher as well.

The Browns are only a few pieces away from competing for the AFC North next season.

Here is the deal with Wright not playing well "this year".

If you had to throw against BMcDonald or Wright, you'd thrown to BMcDonald.

If you had to throw against Haden, Brown or Wright, you'd throw at Wright.

The NFL is a matchup league and Wright is just starting to get exposed because he is now the worst corner, not the second worst.
