Smoked Thanksgiving Turkey

As some of you know I have a very nice large smoker.

Note: The six butt roast for pulled pork for the Fouth of July …turn out GREAT
Big Thanks to Bio-Hazzzzard. Without your on line tutelage for my first time Smoker Cooking event would not have turned out so great… Thank You

My question is: Has anyone ever had a complete Smoked Thanksgiving Turkey?

Is a complete smoked turkey a scrumptious eat?

I’m thinking about doing 2 (two) large turkeys for Thanksgiving. One for my Family and one for the feed the hungry church group.

I’m a Tradition Bake Turkey guy and I do the Thanksgiving Dinner (all of it) for my family so this idea of a Smoked Turkey is a little out of my comfort zone….

We had one several years ago...it was okay. I prefer deep fried or roasted any day. We usually have one of each but I think this year we're just frying both. One with cajun injection and one without.

I love me some deep fried turkey.

If you think you want to do this then maybe get a small turkey or a turkey breast and try it before hand.

I'd love to try to deep fry a turkey this year, but I don't know what we're going to do this year.

We had a smoked turkey back in 2003 along with a deep fried turkey. I liked the smoked turkey because it was something different.
