I think the next coach is pretty much already a lock, and it's who they should have hired in the first place.

Seemed to me lastnight it wasn;t the coach at all. Players did not hustle after loose balls they didn't get back on defense all in all they were just lazy.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those to blame it all on the coach. The talent in Salem hasn't been very good for most of my life (save class of '06) but coaching from the bottom up is a BIG reason why.

It'd be cool to see Struthers upset them, but that's going to be a blow outttt. I don't know how good that is for your team to be honest, I know playing good talent is important to prepare you for tournaments. But when you're a team that's been rolling like Struthers, it may have a negative effect to get blown out by 30 on your home floor right at the end of the season. Hope it doesn't happen, I'm certainly pullin' for the Struthers upset.

I can agree but nobody on the team i would think is looking for a victory. These kids are all going to play D1 ball. Its just good for struthers they will get to play the friday before their tournament game.

Salem 59; Lakeview 53. Quakers get second win a row after losing best player in a season ending injury. Hopefully they can keep it going with a win over arch-rival West Branch tomorrow, and then again vs. WB on Monday in the first round of the tournament.

Well, here we go again, Salem vs. Struthers. Quakers obviously playing without Wolfgang due to injury; everyone else will have to move their game up another notch. There simply can be no lapses on defense, and we must do a better job protecting the ball, eliminating turnovers, and not forcing it if it isn't there. It will have to be all of that plus a hot shooting night in order to pull the upset ...... but stranger things have happened.
