Found out that Henline is now 38-4 in SLL games since taking over the Eagles. I know that the SLL hasnt been great by any means the past four seasons but still gotta give the guy some credit for that impressive in league record.

Definitely a great record over that span. He was slapped with a lot of talent, much of which graduated last year. This year will be a good test of his coaching ability as he doesn't have the best team in the league. That said, he is a good coach and he was long overdue in getting the varsity job IMO.

Elmwood 66
New Riegel 53

An impressive win tonight for Elmwood over a pretty good New Riegel team. Much improved over friday night. Defense was smothering and shooting was better. TJ waldock led with 19, Hannah 18, J Waldock 10, Hammer and Rosendale with 8.

Elmwood hasnt really played anybody yet besides McComb who they got beat by. I guess we will see how good they actually are when they take on Eastwood in Pemberville on January 4th.

I know Elmwood is good but just dont know yet how good they are due to the schedule they have played so far.

Good point. New Riegel was a good win, as they are picked to battle for the MAL crown. But, they looked very good last night. If they continue to get scoring from Kevin Hammer, they will be that much harder to beat. Looking forward to Jan 4th.

I'm wondering if this game will be moved to a different date. Or maybe they may start the JV game at 5. The Buckeyes play that night at 8:30.

I was told they were not moving it. JV tip still set for 6pm which is being preceeded by the freshmen game.

Expect to miss the 1st quarter of the Bucks game probably.

I think I read somewhere (Sentinel??) that Elmwood requested the game was moved to a different date but the Eastwood AD said bump that.

Doesnt everybody have a smartphone now? You can keep updated during the game. Or just come over to my house Royal.

Elmwood will bury Eastwood so bad you can leave after 3....lol

Not saying it will happen but I wont be surprised if Eastwood somehow manages to pull out a close W. Now I know Elmwood is on a roll right now and playing very good but if Eastwood starts to get hot from outside it could get interesting. The Faykosh's and Schmeltz are going to need to take good care of the ball though as I hear Elmwood likes to put pressure on the ball.

All in all it should be another great game between Eastwood and Elmwood.

Elmwood over Eastwood 64-44

It took a while for the Royals to get going. But the second half was much better than the 1st. They turned up the defense and forced a lot of TOs.

Very balanced scoring for the Royals.
TJ Waldock lead with 20, Hannah 11, Hammer and J Waldock 10, and Davis 8.
