Divided government here we come.

You say divided government, I say checks and balances within Congress. As others have said, I'd rather have gridlock in Congress than some of the legislation they've been ramming through the passed few years.

Writerbuckeye;542530 wrote:If not raising the debt ceiling means bankruptcy, then you raise it and start working to CUT as much as you can out of the next budget.

You don't arbitrarily decide to vote no on something like that just to make a point -- and just because someone has run an entire election on reducing government spending does NOT mean they should be stupid. If it takes one more extension of the debt before cuts can be made, then you do it.

But I'm sure if the debt ceiling gets raised, there will be "children" who point fingers and say all kinds of idiotic and stupid things. It is Washington, after all.

So then Obama's spending has been just fine and in fact if the Pubs do regain control then it is okay to spend more? Typical liberal mentality.

NOTE: They will always use the bankruptcy excuse to increase spending. Time to stop the spending NOW! Get the welfare errrr I mean government workers reduced most arer a waste of tax payer money. It is time for a MUCH smaller government!

MSNBC has projected the Republicans take the House with a projected 238 seats. That would be an almost 60 seat pick-up.

They are also having a good time talking about how Rand Paul is promising to bring an instantaneous world wide economic depression in early spring by promising to filibuster the debt ceiling bill extension that would put the U.S government into default (and lead to a world wide collapse) if it happens.

The Obama regime is lawyering up as we speak because the subpoenas are going to be flying that first day of the new Congress in January.

Define radical? Lol. I'm still not sold on the R's coming in. Granted something new was needed, but let's see how they play ball now.

I generally like Rubio. I disagree with him on some issues, and would have liked Crist, but Rubio is a good pickup for the R's.

I'm following one of Kasich's people on Twitter and the early voting was mostly from Democratic counties and early voting (which favored Dems, too, since they emphasize it more than the GOP does). Now you are seeing the rural votes starting to come in, which is why Kasich has taken a lead.

...and Strickland even having a shot tonite makes me question the intelligence and sanity of Ohioans. I mean, what do you have to do (or not do) to get thrown out on your ass? Wasn't do- nothing Taft bad enough? What has this governor done to deserve 4 more years? Insanity is sometimes defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. It appears half the state should be put away in an asylum.
