No disdain for those on them, just for those that I see abusing the system. Government assistance is not a way of life, it wasnt designed for that but has morphed into it for some. What tears me up are the group I talked about, they are baby manufacturers. Their kids are nothing more than a piece of property, money for the parent. Also, pretty simple math, very few kids who grow up in this environment get out of it when they grow up. So, with the generation gap being as little as 15 to 20 years between groups, you have 3 or 4 generations living and surviving by government assistance. I have a problem with people who work for the government who dont live up to their expectations of their jobs, you know those guys in Washington! lol
I guess it hits home more for me when I walk around these kids every day and hear and see what they live through.
Bottom line is, this problem starts with the adults in the kids lives, that is where you start. Teachers have influence, but not like parents do.
