Prove me wrong? How do you prove me wrong when I said I watched 2 games that they threw a total of maybe 10 passes? ANyway... Here are their stats and yes they have thrown more than I thought..but the games I watched they did not need to as they ran it right at the D line..

Take a deep breath and get your panties out of that bunch....

ok are we good now?

Alright now that we are all calmed down.... you said this....
lol..Hope you were joking. You will see smash mouth football from the Titans with w few passes to keep defenses honest.
I said no, they spread out and pass the ball when they adapt to who they are playing....when they played us last year our secondary was weak and they exploited that. They do what they have to to win games that is all I am trying to say.

lol..not hot at all...all I said was that the games I watched...they ran , and ran, and ran.......If they came at you last year year with the spread.....kudos to the coaching staff... Thye did not need to do that this year....yet...

I meant no offense...just chuckled when I read spread and OG in same sentence because I don't equate them with a spread O..thats all. Now with Kulmna out..they may pass more, I don't know that side of them because I have not seen it.

Lol if OG has a spread offense then everything I think I understand about football is wrong and my grandmother knows more about this sport than I do.

I haven't seen them since they thoroughly beat Kenton's ass back earlier in the season, and a lot has changed from then with them, but from what I remember the quarterback they have would certainly struggle with a spread offense or even an offense that was a 55/45 balance of pass/run.

If OG is a team that is mostly run they dont have very many yards rushing. Less than 100 yards a game? That must not be right.

I don't think those numbers are a complete 10 games....I would say thats about 7 or 8 games worth of stats.

Then they must have changed some things with the kids who got suspended and/or hurt. Because the OG team I saw was about a 200/game type offense on the ground. I mean I really didn't think of them as a team that could adapt to passing the ball.

They did last year.....as to what they have done this year, maybe their running game is just that good. That i do not know.

What I do know is the Genoa fans have said their secondary is weak, and Orrville had a weak secondary last year with a very strong run defense. They came out got stuffed running the ball, and moved to the pass, and won the game...I believe they had 2 40+ yard TD passes, so I'm not saying they go out and go 5 wide and throw for 300 yards, but they attack the weaknesses of their opponents, which is just great coaching imo.

I guess we will all see Friday what the gameplan is! haha

Even at 7 games its only like 135 ypg. that just dont seem right for a running team. That would be low in the occ.

yes, i know some sites upgrade for like 4-5 weeks, then just stop and don't update for a final season total....Idk why they do this, it's stupid. Maxpreps does this as well.

I guess if you gotta play a team like OG, it might as well be your first playoff game and be at home! One thing is for sure, Comet Stadium is gonna be ROCKIN on Friday!!! I remember in the 08 game that the OG fans travel really well! Gotta feeling that Orrville/Triway will be the same type of atmosphere as well!!!

^^yeah it should be a packed house...although it's suppose to rain/snow and be in the low 30's and Orrville has quite a few fair weather fans.....so we'll see haha! I wish I could go to this game.

If O-G is only missing Kuhlman, they'll be fine. O-G wins it and gets Kulhman back for Clear Fork to make for a CLASSIC round 2 battle that could have been saved for the state semi!

OG is in the same league as my Alma Mater (St. Marys)

I can remember growing up, OG was the turd of the WBL. Every year 0-10 or 1-9. Their head coach has been there for a while and now has a winner. Their entire team is (or used to be every year) these big tall kids. Not the biggest weight wise, but easily the tallest team. They ran a pro-style Offense primarily out of the I or Dotted I. I can remember our coaches drilling in our head the Counter Trey because it was their bread and butter.

I think the D ran a 4-3 and again were big and physical.

Here's a thread about the game from rocketcorner.com

Sounds like Kuhlman is out for the year if you believe what you read. Too bad.

I still think they have the defense to go pretty far this year...It happens every year. They go somewhat "under the radar" to a 4-6 seed and then just go out and find ways to win games, pretty impressive if you ask me. You cannot count them out or you will be beat.

I think everyone also needs to consider the impact the weather will have on this game as well. Game time temp is forecasted to be 31 and it's supposed to drop into upper 20's with snow. OG might miss that tailback more than you think because passing will be extremely difficult
