I coached basketball at Wayne for 3 years. They play in a competitive league for sure.

I haven't watched film yet bet from stats it sure seems the Offense is centered around Derek and Pohlen...I mean with what...90 catches on the year he seems to be integral? haha we are not that dumb...we have athletes that are good one on one, but we can't rely on that to stop them the entire night!

Let Max run wild and maybe a repeat hit like he had on Woo's QB and we will see Carmichael ducking and falling down anytime someone comes close to him again!

Triway will need to play a complete game, and each of their 4-5 wide receivers will need to run good routes and catch the balls thrown to them since we might not get many open men in the secondary. We'll also need our rushing attack to be somewhat effective, especially in short-yardage situations. If we're forced to be 1-dimensional, it could spell trouble, especially if Orrville can do that with only 5-6 players in the box. If we can force Orrville's defense to be honest just a little bit, it would work to our advantage when on offense. Either way, our DB's will need to do a better job defending the deep ball. A complete game for 4 quarters will be needed, but we can do it!

All is good here....I appreciate the concern. Busy day yesterday....all my energy went to getting the game article & photos to OrrViews....then off to relatives for Halloween stuff with the kids...I went as a blogger.
Not sure what to think about this one....no one likes playing a team twice in a season....but I dont know what Triway does different. Their strength is the pass, they're not going to abandon it now. You dance with what brought you. I could see them putting Polen in the backfield and taking some risks with misdirection and trick plays, or having more designed runs for Derek.
Cold & rain/snow will make it interesting.

RR1, My mom who works at Wooster city schools was a little behind the scenes on the online voting thing....haha she emailed Deb Goudy and Kent Smith about it! lol my mom always loved Wooster week and wearing all my Orrville stuff at work over there to get people wound up...guess that's where I got it from.
As far as this game, the way the weather is looking it will favor Orrville and our run game...but that doesn't mean Triway won't put up points. Our defense has to be on their game and shut down everything the Titans try to do....and we can do that!
If Max can get a couple hits on Derek early on like he did the last game, He will not want any part of the game. He is by far the definition of a pretty boy QB, and with the weather we are supposed to be getting, and our defense looking to take his head off....could be a VERY LONG NIGHT for #12 in purple..
