What business would you like to start if you had the chance. You could own any business and be your own boss with your own hours and hire & fire anyone you wanted.

Some of the perks that go with some businesses.
Escort service-you could audition the women before you hire them.
Night club owner-Free alcohol and drunk women all the time.
Construction company-You could build yourself a big mansion real cheap.
Pro sports team-Free tickets all the time and get to hang out with famous people.

These are just examples and I am sure some people can be real creative with their dream company or business.

I honestly might open a bar someday. I like talking to people and enjoy all the different combinations of drinks you can use to make different cocktails and different takes on a drink. Same reason I love to cook, I love the way flavors mix together to create something new and different.

The problem is everyone wants to/does open a sports bar and that's probably why they come and go so quickly. I'd need to either create some food product that was good enough to keep the business coming or create an atmosphere or marketing catch that was unique enough to keep people interested.

There's actually a lot of business ventures that I think would be interesting to be involved in.

Do you know anyone who does screenprinting? Because you know how to make a website. It seems like you could create a joint venture without too much cash invested.

The problem with that type of thing is getting known and staying relevant.

Indoor adult entertainment complex...you take this empty Home Depot in the town, gut the sucker and...

small bar and grill, driving track, climbing wall, laser tag, stage area, occassional live shows...upstairs cigar room and tequila bar.

would be big. looking for capital. inquire within.

Attach a hotel to that and you have a decent idea. I say that because for a place that big you're going to need lots of customers from a pretty wide area. And for the place to work you've got to be able to drink there. People will want to stay somewhere to remain alive and unarrested. Thus the hotel.

I've been throwing around the idea with one of the designers I work with. We could easily put together a site and some nice tshirt designs. If we can find a decent screen printer to work with it would definitely be a quick start up. The biggest drawback is exactly what you've said, though, and the only thing keeping me from already doing it.

I'd be interested in starting a bakery. Not too many bakeries where I live are very interested in anything past donuts and bread. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I think a more expanded inventory would fly here.

Bar and grill definitely. I love Melt in Cleveland and Lockview in Akron where they have real interesting takes on grilled cheese. Since moving to NC I haven't seen a place that does anything like that so I could do my take on experimenting with grilled cheese. Already found the building here (old fire house shown below), just need the funding...

Owning your own business is a 24 hour job to be successful .....it does not matter what business it is. What you think are perks are pit falls for failure..
The bigger question is how much are you willing to lose.... entrepreneurs take risk.
We put our homes, saving and investment on the line for something we believe in and or believe in ourselves to be successful.

owning your own business always has perks and always has risk but this question was asked so we could see what everyone would like to do if they could do anything they wanted and I am sure everyone has dreamed of being their own boss.Be creative and dream a little because it makes life fun.

Utopia would provide me the perfect sports bar and grill...
- Incredible Top of the line ground-breaking technology for viewing
- Great tasting food that is as healthy as possible
- Award winning micro-brewery on sight... sorry no light beer available (just kidding, but one will be called out when ordering light beer)
- Outside seating that is never below 75 degrees... in the great state of Ohio
- Classy, yet beautiful waitresses providing exceptional customer service decked out in various teams apparel
- Employees that never lie, cheat, steal or call off work
- No Steeler or Michigan fans allowed :) Forgot to add Yankee fans and any Miami Heat fans that were not fans... prior to the summer of 2010.
- Free drinks the day that The Browns, Indians, or Cavs win their respective titles.

I would love to create my own car company or work under Ford designing and tricking out cars. I would love for my name to be as big as Carroll Shelby or Steve Saleen. Someday you will see Mirgon Mustangs running around!!

Almost forgot I would love to fill my farm in Meigs with a 100 acres of the best Marijuana ever grown. I would then be the so called taste tester, and quality control! :) Kind of like tasting fine wine, Take a puff savor the flavor and release
