My Outlook
O - Glenville has too much speed & too many athletes. Big play capabilities, both run & pass. Davidson will grind out some yards, just not enough. Ball control won't decide it.
D- Would rate both as very good. However, think Glenville has played tougher schedule and better teams. Again, Glenville has better & more athletes. Davidson won't hang all game.
KIcking Game -- Here Davidson is superior as Glenville really sucks at kickoffs, punts & X-pt. kicks. But Glenville has a superior kick return game.
Glenville wins by two scores over Davidson.
BLAH...BLAH...BLAH...BLAH... We've heard it all before, some ol @#%&. I will take the fine tuned machine against all your talent and speed and athelets and see you in Canton, Tired of hearin about how we can't hang with these "high flying offences" don't you get it? were not impressed. We show up, play are game, and when the clock says 0:00 we'll see where we stand. GO CATS!!!! BEAT GLENVILLE!!!!
Wildcat...don't go getting your underwear tied up in knots. Believe me it isn't a good comfortable feeling.
I understand completely what you are saying and I understand what the other guys are saying. Some of the people are excited for Glenville, as they should be. But I'm with you on this one.
I think the ball control offense and good sound defense will prevail. That is taking nothing away from Glenville, but they are a "big play" offense. They didn't really sustain any drives against Iggy or Massillon. Iggy's QB threw 5 picks and Glenville took advantage of it. I thought Massillon's 3-4 defense wasn't effective against Glenville and actually gave Glenville an advantage. Not a lot of pressure on Glenville's QB and their linemen got out to the Linebackers in a hurry which left much of the tackling to be done by DB's and that is never good.
There is no doubt that Glenville has size, speed, and athletes...but so does Davidson. Maybe not as many, but they too have athletes, or they wouldn't be in the State Final Game. Glenville was the better team against Massillon Saturday night, but if they played 10 times...Glenville wouldn't win all 10 games and all Davidson has to do is win once...no more...no less.
