then use a torrent search engine like www.torrenttree .com to search multiple torrent sites at once.

Then watch your hard drive disappear as you decide it's a good idea to download the entire Frank Zappa discography and every live Jimi Hendrix album you can find!

Lol at the noobs who are still using Gnutella P2P networks like Limewire. If you are going to P2P, use torrents (demonoid if possible). But the RIAA and MPAA are on to the BitTorent network as well. A lot of the warez groups and pirates have moved on to the next generation of piracy, one-click file hosting to spread the wealth of free media.

Like in the post above, find a forum or blog where the members post rapishare, hotfile, fileserve, etc... links, and use Jdownloader to download them autonomously. Much faster, and much safer.

I registered but am not able to invite anyone yet. If you don't get an invite by the time I'm able to I'll hit you up.

Torrents aren't bullet proof, either.

FWIW: The RIAA/MPAA still goes after torrent users.

I use peer block to block the tracking...not sure if it works, but I haven't gotten any notices from roadrunner lately.

Yes but not with the fervor that they go after old Gnutella type P2P users. Probably because of the difficulty in establishing that something illegal actually happened. I mean, if I send you ten megabytes of a 1000 megabyte film does that constitute a violation of your copyright? What if what was transferred wasn't even any of the film but merely the video container?

Then that ignores the fact that many of the groups that send you letters in the mail telling you that you're being sued if you don't pay them x amount of dollars use what may be illegal methods to get that information and have been found to be using illegal predatory lawsuit methods. Especially in regards to venue.

Sarcasm? I just don't see how it could be. Or, is it safe b/c it directs you to megadownload, etc.?

No sarcasm. It is simply a site that directs to megaupload, and other file hosting services. They don't host anything. They have a pretty accurate DMCA disclaimor so that if there is a legal complaint they take down the link.

Unless the people that uploaded the file in the first place are the copyright holders then it's extremely unlikely that anything could ever come from it.

Transmission is the best Mac client.
